What can you expect from this position?

Reporting to the Associate Director, Corporate Strategy, the Manager, Strategic Planning plays a critical enterprise role in shaping, integrating, and advancing GTAA’s longterm strategy.

Acting as a central integrator, this role ensures strategic priorities are translated into clear direction, disciplined execution, and measurable outcomes across the organization. You will partner closely with executive leaders and crossfunctional teams to align strategy with business planning, capital investment, and performance management providing decisionready insights that support effective leadership, risk management, and progress against Boardapproved objectives.

As Manager, Strategic Planning, you will:

  • Act as a central integrator of enterprise strategy, aligning strategic priorities with business plans, capital programs, and operational initiatives.
  • Lead and support key components of corporate strategic planning, including multiyear priorities, strategic themes, roadmaps, and success measures.
  • Translate strategic direction into clear, actionable initiatives aligned to annual planning and investment cycles
  • Conduct enterpriselevel strategic analysis (e.g., environmental scans, scenario analysis, peer benchmarking) to inform executive decisionmaking.
  • Track and synthesize progress against the Strategic Plan, Corporate Goals, and Boardlevel targets, identifying misalignment, risk, and opportunities for course correction.
  • Design, maintain, and continuously improve strategic performance frameworks, including KPIs, scorecards, and execution tracking.
  • Prepare concise, highquality, decisionready materials for executive leadership and the Board
  • Provide governance support by ensuring strategy execution progress is clearly documented, reviewed, and escalated through appropriate executive and Board forums.
  • Act as a trusted thought partner to senior leaders, exercising sound judgment and discretion with sensitive and predecisional information.
  • Translate enterprise strategy into clear, consistent communications for internal audiences at all levels, including decisionready materials and narratives for executives and the Board that drive alignment and execution.

This is the role for you, if you have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, strategy, analytics, or a related field (MBA or professional designation an asset).
  • 4+ years of experience in corporate strategy, strategic planning, business development, or management consulting.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting executive level and Boardlevel decisionmaking.
  • A strong track record translating strategy into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Proven strategic thinking, analytical, and problemsolving skills in complex, fast paced environments.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complexity into clear, executive level insights.
  • Comfort working through ambiguity, managing competing priorities, and influencing without direct authority.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Transportation Security Clearance at the required level.

Experience in aviation, infrastructure, or capital‑intensive environments is considered a strong asset.
