Job Description

About Klook

We are a leading pan-regional experiences platform in Asia Pacific, purpose built to digitalize experiences and make them accessible to every traveler.

Our mission is to build the digital infrastructure for the global experience economy — empowering merchants to share their passions and travelers to discover the heartbeat of each destination.

We operate a mobile-first, curated platform featuring diverse experiences across global destinations.

Do you share our belief in the wonders of travel? Global citizens ourselves, Klookers are not only curating memorable experiences for others but co-creating our world of joy within Klook.

We work hard and play hard, upkeeping our high-performing culture as we are guided daily by our 6 core values:

  • Customer First
  • Push Boundaries
  • Critical Thinking
  • Build for Scale
  • Less is More
  • Win as One

We never settle, and together, we believe in achieving greater heights and realizing endless possibilities ahead of us in the dynamic new era of travel. Care to be a part of this revolution? Join us!

We're looking for a Manager, Strategic Partnerships to join our SIM/WiFi team and grow our eSIM business through partnerships. This is an owner's role: you will define the partnership strategy for Klook eSIM — where we play, with whom, and on what terms — and then personally execute it, building and closing the pipeline that turns that strategy into new-user growth.

The ideal candidate moves fluently between the two halves of the job: structured strategic thinking to set direction and prioritise, and hands-on deal-making to open doors, negotiate and get agreements signed — with the rigour to turn signed partners into acquisition volume rather than logos on a slide.

Key Responsibilities

Set the strategy

  • Develop the strategic partnerships strategy for Klook eSIM: the partner archetypes and channels that can deliver new users at scale, the value proposition for each, and the commercial models to pursue.
  • Translate it into an annual and quarterly plan with prioritised targets, sequencing and resourcing — using market data, competitive analysis and partner economics to decide where to concentrate effort and what to deprioritise.
  • Refresh the strategy as the eSIM distribution landscape shifts, and report progress to senior leadership on a regular cadence.

Build pipeline and close deals

  • Own the eSIM partnership pipeline end to end: map the landscape and identify high-potential partners across tech platforms, travel and OTA players, telcos, device and app ecosystems, fintech, loyalty programmes and offline travel channels.
  • Generate qualified opportunities through outbound prospecting, industry networks, events and inbound inquiries, and maintain a disciplined pipeline with clear stages and next steps.
  • Lead deals from first conversation to signature: pitch, commercial modelling, negotiation, and alignment with Legal, Finance and Product on structure and risk.
  • Build the internal business case for each deal — expected new users, economics, resourcing — and secure senior stakeholder buy-in.

Scale partners into user growth

  • Own launch and ramp-up: coordinate Product, Tech, Supply and Operations to get integrations live on time and performing.
  • Manage live partners as a growth portfolio — review performance, pull levers to increase conversion and volume, expand where partners are working and exit where they are not.
  • Design and land partner co-marketing and joint go-to-market activity, working with our marketing teams on execution to drive new customer acquisition.
  • Act as the primary commercial relationship owner for key partners, and use performance data to sharpen targeting, deal structure and partner management.

Flex across broader growth channels

  • Support other external growth and awareness channels that can drive eSIM acquisition — such as affiliates, social and creator-led channels — and work with internal marketing teams to launch campaigns with Klook's platform-level strategic partners.

What you'll need

  • 6+ years in strategic partnerships, business development or commercial strategy, with a proven track record of independently sourcing, negotiating and closing partnerships that delivered measurable user or revenue growth. OTA, ecommerce, travel, telco or tech startup experience is a plus.
  • Experience owning a partnership or growth strategy end to end — building the thesis, target list and plan, then delivering it, rather than executing someone else's.
  • Demonstrated ability to build pipeline from scratch: comfortable with cold outreach, working a network, and creating opportunities where none existed.
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with the judgement to structure deals that are both closeable and good for the business.
  • Strong analytical skills — able to size markets, model partner economics, and use data to prioritise and make the case internally.
  • Ability to drive cross-functional projects, getting Product, Tech, Legal, Finance and Marketing aligned behind a strategy, a deal and its launch.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with credibility in front of senior external and internal stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese; additional languages a plus. Globally minded and comfortable working across cultures and time zones.
  • A start-up attitude — entrepreneurial, roll-up-your-sleeves, and able to work independently when required.
  • Exposure to affiliates, social or influencer marketing, or knowledge of the telecommunications / eSIM space, is a plus but not required.
