Job Description

Salem Media is seeking a highly organized, strategic, and collaborative professional to join its Strategic Marketing Team (SMT). This position can be hybrid or fully remote.

The Manager, Strategic Communications & Initiatives will help connect people, information, content, and initiatives across Salem's growing media ecosystem. This role serves as a key liaison between divisions, helping ensure important opportunities, communications, and strategic priorities are visible, coordinated, and executed effectively.

Working closely with the Vice President of Marketing & Communications and senior leadership, this individual will support internal communications, strategic initiatives, executive messaging, content integration efforts, and cross-functional collaboration across the company.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of communications, operations, project management, and relationship-building.

Responsibilities

Content Ecosystem Development

  • Serve as a connector across Salem's broadcast, podcast, digital, video, publishing, and event platforms.
  • Identify opportunities for content amplification, cross-promotion, and audience growth.
  • Support the development of workflows and SOPs that strengthen collaboration across divisions.
  • Help facilitate Salem's vision of operating as one integrated media company rather than a collection of individual business units.
  • Coordinate communication around major content launches, company initiatives, and strategic priorities.

Executive Support

  • Assist with executive presentations, talking points, leadership communications, and strategic planning materials.
  • Support recurring leadership meetings by gathering updates, preparing agendas, documenting action items, and ensuring follow-through.
  • Partner with department leaders to improve visibility into ongoing initiatives and opportunities.
