The Global Focus Categories (GFC) is a multi-billion dollar global portfolio comprising Fashion, Collectibles, Vehicles, Parts & Accessories, and more. These categories are key investment areas for eBay, with unique market contexts and vertical-specific drivers to unlock growth.
We are looking to hire a Manager of GFC Product Strategy & Operations , located in Toronto who will support the Focus Categories leadership team and play an instrumental role in accelerating growth across our portfolio of assets.
The role will be at the forefront of shaping and enabling the delivery of our strategy, ensuring operational excellence in planning, analytics, reporting, and collaboration across a broad cross-functional team. The individual is expected to embed with key members of the Focus Categories leadership team to understand, explain, and influence their business and key strategic initiatives, while also keeping in mind the broader portfolio and driving consistency in approach and process across the board.
Key partners include GFC business strategy & operations, GFC product management, PMO, central planning, analytics, among many others, who span across the US, Europe, and Asia.
Serve as strategic thought leader to the GFC leadership team.
Lead GFC product roadmap planning, being the primary point of contact between central planning and product management teams
Build executive-ready presentations on strategy and operational updates.
Identify and realize opportunities to improve operational consistency and efficiency and alignment across the portfolio.
Own reporting of product roadmap health to eBay global leadership teams and internal team work cadences.
Deep dive on ad hoc strategic topics in the portfolio, ranging from diagnosis to execution.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners; ensure alignment with other eBay teams and initiatives.
Organized problem solver who balances attention to detail with efficiency.
Executive level verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to tell a compelling story backed by data.
Track record of structured thinking, and ability to prioritize against multiple initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to project manage a group of peers and lead through influence.
A firm command of detail, with the ability to connect related areas of work and outputs to enforce accuracy and consistency.
High degree of ownership and commitment to results.
Self-motivated to identify opportunities and challenges in the business.
Ambition to grow professionally and willingness to work hard, learn/adapt, and provide feedback both upward and to peer teams.
An experienced people leader with the ability to modulate to their team’s needs.
Requirements
6+ years of related experience, including 3+ years in a planning, product, or business operations role, preferably in e-commerce, marketplace, or consumer tech.
Experience working with product management, with an understanding of how ideas become launched experiences.
BA/BS required, MBA or similar graduate degree preferred.
Additional Details
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
C$110,000 - C$146,900
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including RRSP eligibility, various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
