Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

  • Daily Inbound Oversee daily material receipts, Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), production issues, Stock Transfer Requets.
  • 3PL & Multidistribution Management Direct daily operational workflows across both in-house facilities and third-party logistics ( 3PL) warehouses.
  • Scrapyard Operations To oversee proper segregation, handling & compliance to HSE norms at Scrapyard

Inventory Control & Systems Optimization

  • Stock Accuracy Conduct periodic and annual physical stock counts to sustain 100% inventory data integrity
  • System Management Supervise all SAP and WMS transactions, including stock transfers, subcontracting, and continuous system feature enhancements.
  • Scrap & Aging Mitigation Identify and report non-moving inventory to business units, coordinating annual scrap disposal to optimize storage space.
  • Cycle count

Quality, Safety & Compliance (QHSE)

  • Audit Ownership Lead preparation for all internal, external, and cross-functional QHSE audits, executing timely closure of all observations.
  • Safety Training Design and deliver regular EHS and On-the-Job training sessions to foster a zero-accident workplace culture.
  • Rejection Management Monitor Quality Control ( QC) rejections, vendor replacements, and Supplier Return Notes (SRN) processing.

Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • People Management Provide daily direction, performance management, and coaching to a diverse warehouse operations team.
  • Operational Excellence Champion a culture of lean manufacturing by driving team participation in 5S and Kaizen initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Synergy Partner closely with SCM-Procurement to rectify PO/invoice errors and resolve internal stakeholder bottlenecks. Co-ordinate with various BU’s for Slow-Moving Inventory and with Manufacturing Team for timely and accurate issuance of materials.
  • MIS Reporting Author and present comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly operational metrics and performance analytics to senior management.
  • Capex Allocation Administer the departmental Capex procurement budget and project execution.
  • Work with finance / internal audit pertaining to inventory management , annual stock count & Closure of audit points.
