The Clinical Skills Education and Assessment Center (CSEAC), within the College of Medicine, is a multi-disciplinary professional skills training lab that provides education and hands-on experience in basic clinical skills and advanced surgical, ultrasound and medical scenarios in a simulated patient care setting for students, residents, medical trainees, faculty and staff from the health system, all health sciences schools and colleges, and external clients. Services include medical simulation and standardized patient programs.

The Manager, Standardized Patient Program position provides comprehensive leadership supervision, and accountability for the Standardized Patient (SP) Program within the CSEAC. The role serves as the program leader and people manager, ensuring alignment with College of Medicine and institutional priorities. This position is responsible for providing direction and information regarding the SP program to all faculty, learners, and staff and provides support for general or specialized areas for learners including undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate, professional and independently practicing providers ensuring support throughout the educational cycle from entry to graduation and into professional practice. The position functions as a subject matter expert and provides leadership in all aspects of the SP program including educational functions, coordination of all SP-related activities from recruitment, on-boarding, training, and coaching of SPs to coordinating with faculty and program leadership to schedule and develop SP case content to meet curricular needs. Additionally, the role includes overseeing student employees and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and accreditation standards of best practice. The role has direct accountability for staff performance, resource deployment, and program outcomes.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree in relevant field may be desirable. 4 years of relevant experience required. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred. Progressive experience with increasing responsibility in academic program operations, staff supervision, budget management, and compliance oversight required.

Additional Information:

Work hours are typically 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday, but can vary to include some early morning, evening and weekend events as needed.
