Job Description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Conduct design reviews basis Engg.
  • Drawings and Ensure APQP (Advance Product Quality planning) with the manufacturing team for clear understanding of OEM requirements and specs/ Standards.
  • Drive New Part development to ensure that Part Quality meet the Desired spec and Standard.
  • Quality assurance in new development of parts / FTR Sample formations from Day1. Process Discipline and PPAP sign offs.
  • Carry out PPAP, Initiate and validate the 4M conditions.
  • Ensure First TIme right and Every thing right Process outcomes / Sign Offs the Quality agreements along with PSW (Part submisison Warrants.Carry out Process and Product audit through Control plan/SOP/Process sheet in manufacturing process.
  • Lead DWM of Machine shop by Daily rejection analysis of inhouse rejection ,Assy throwback and customer return and other issues.Maintain process capability of Critical Parameters ,X bar and R Chart analysis and taking corrective actions.
  • Drive machine shop ZDM (Zero Defect Machine) by Selection based on sod rating , 04 M Analysis and ZDM Monitoring and action item closer.Ensure decision making based on data and facts for machine shop , standard room and HT activities.
  • Assist the manufacturing process to enhance the Manufacturing / Technology Capability, Facilitate Root Cause Analysis and corrective action implementation against anomalies.Drive Improvement related activities, Kaizen, Yellow belts, Green belts, QMS activities The Mahindra wa ,ys (TMW) , AFS , ISO 9001:2015 , ISO 45001,ISO 14001:2015 , Planning and documentation of ISMS (ISO 27001:2013.Drive standard room activities like calibration of Instruments and Gauges ,Torque wrench calibration ,MSA of Instruments and Gauges.Planning and execution of Machine shop Quality budget

Customer & Field Quality

- Conduct detailed analysis of customer defects reported from the field or plant.

- Lead improvement actions for field/customer complaints and ensure timely closure.

- Drive reduction in lead time for complaint resolution.

Supplier Quality Management

- Perform supplier validation audits and manage supplier APQP processes.

- Evaluate suppliers for approval by assessing manufacturing capabilities and technology readiness.

- Conduct on-site supplier visits for root-cause analysis and verification of corrective actions.

- Support new product development to ensure supplier readiness and adherence to quality standards.

- Review supplier manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement and value enhancement.

Quality Systems & Documentation

- Promote use of quality improvement tools: Lean, Six Sigma, Poka-Yoke, MSA, SPC, PFMEA, etc.

- Ensure accurate documentation of inspection results, PPAP submissions, and product warrants.

- Facilitate escalation of unresolved supplier quality issues.

- Lead and support internal and supplier audits.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

- Monitor supplier KPIs including PPM, issue closure, warranty indicators, and cost recovery.

- Collate and analyze supplier quality data to identify trends and improvement areas.

- Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and project updates to management.

Continuous Improvement & Training

- Lead process improvement activities at supplier end.

- Conduct benchmarking studies for best practices and technological insights.

- Provide training on quality awareness, systems, and methodologies to internal teams.
