- Conduct detailed analysis of customer defects reported from the field or plant.
- Lead improvement actions for field/customer complaints and ensure timely closure.
- Drive reduction in lead time for complaint resolution.
- Perform supplier validation audits and manage supplier APQP processes.
- Evaluate suppliers for approval by assessing manufacturing capabilities and technology readiness.
- Conduct on-site supplier visits for root-cause analysis and verification of corrective actions.
- Support new product development to ensure supplier readiness and adherence to quality standards.
- Review supplier manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement and value enhancement.
- Promote use of quality improvement tools: Lean, Six Sigma, Poka-Yoke, MSA, SPC, PFMEA, etc.
- Ensure accurate documentation of inspection results, PPAP submissions, and product warrants.
- Facilitate escalation of unresolved supplier quality issues.
- Lead and support internal and supplier audits.
- Monitor supplier KPIs including PPM, issue closure, warranty indicators, and cost recovery.
- Collate and analyze supplier quality data to identify trends and improvement areas.
- Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and project updates to management.
- Lead process improvement activities at supplier end.
- Conduct benchmarking studies for best practices and technological insights.
- Provide training on quality awareness, systems, and methodologies to internal teams.
