The Category Manager for Albertsons will serve as a strategic advisor and expert for our Warehouse categories (Bars, Candy and Cough). You will be responsible for partnering with Albertsons to develop category growth solutions rooted in insights and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive market share growth for Mondelez.

You will leverage market, shopper and consumer data to assess performance, identify insights and uncover growth opportunities for Mondelez & Albertsons. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, strong data analytics skills and exceptional communication and storytelling. Mondelez is seeking someone with a proven ability to influence, build relationships and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

You will:

  • Collaborate with buyer and sales team to develop best-in-class category growth strategies based on market dynamics and shopper behavior.

  • Leverage customer specific data sources to understand shopper dynamics and identify growth opportunities for Albertsons.

  • Develop actionable recommendations and plans to accelerate growth of the Bars, Candy, and Cough categories through assortment, shelving and promotional analysis.

  • Develop best-in-class merchandising solutions via planogram execution.

  • Be an active contributor in the joint business planning process

  • Build, manage and enhance reporting dashboards to enable strategic decision making and accelerate insights delivery

  • Be the category thought-leader/advisor for the customer and internal stakeholders

What you will bring

  • Understanding of category management practices and best-in-class ways of working with retailers and cross-functional partners

  • Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)

  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to turn insights into actionable recommendations that drive category growth for Mondelez and the customer

  • Proven track record in influencing, negotiating and aligning key customers and business stakeholders

What extra ingredients you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required

  • ​5 to 10 years of experience in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry in category management or related fields with a proven track record of translating raw data into actionable recommendations and compelling selling stories

  • Required technical expertise with advanced software skills relevant to shopper research and category management functions - this includes syndicated data systems (NielsenIQ, IRI/Circana, Spectra, Numerator panel data, retailer data systems), shelf management software (JDA/Apollo/ShelfIQ) and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to travel (less than 25%)

Salary and Benefits:

The base salary range for this position is $122,000 to $167,750; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
In
