Job Description

Job Title: Manager - Service Technical Support

Department: Thermal Management Services

Location: Thane India

Job Purpose

Lead the technical support, installation, testing, commissioning and service readiness activities for Liquid Cooling solutions including CDU / XDU, SFN and Data Centre COLO projects. Provide technical leadership for domestic and export business deployments while ensuring successful project execution, customer satisfaction, safety, quality and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support Leadership

  • Lead Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for CDU, SFN and Liquid Cooling solutions.
  • Provide troubleshooting guidance for mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, controls and BMS integration issues.
  • Support field engineers, partners and customers during installation and commissioning activities.
  • Develop technical procedures, troubleshooting guides, best practices and escalation processes.

Installation, Testing & Commissioning

  • Oversee CDU and SFN installation, site supervision and commissioning activities.
  • Review commissioning plans, site readiness, method statements and technical documentation.
  • Ensure successful completion of pressure testing, hydro testing, coolant quality checks, system balancing and Integrated System Testing (IST).
  • Support customer acceptance testing, punch closure and handover activities.

COLO Project I&C Management

  • Drive Installation and Commissioning activities for hyperscale and colocation data centre projects.
  • Coordinate with project managers, customers, consultants, EPC partners, SFN vendors and internal teams.
  • Monitor project schedules, risks, quality, safety, resource utilisation and progress reporting.
  • Ensure timely execution of CDU, SFN and integrated liquid cooling system deployment activities.

Export Business Start-up Support

  • Support global and export liquid cooling deployments from service readiness to site commissioning.
  • Develop commissioning standards, deployment checklists, training materials and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with global engineering, product management, factory and service teams for technical clarifications and issue resolution.
  • Provide remote and onsite technical support for international projects, as required.

Service Readiness & Capability Development

  • Build and enhance Liquid Cooling service capability across regions.
  • Conduct technical training, certification support and competency development programmes for engineers and partners.
  • Establish governance for commissioning quality, lessons learned and continuous improvement.
  • Support creation of service tools, trackers, checklists and standard operating processes.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Review commissioning reports, test records, risk assessments, method statements and quality documents.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, customer and commissioning standards.
  • Support customer training, O&M handover, maintenance planning and long-term service strategies.
  • Maintain project trackers, technical issue logs, punch lists and lesson-learned reports.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Thermal Engineering or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in Data Centre Infrastructure, HVAC, Thermal Management, Commissioning or Liquid Cooling solutions.
  • Experience in managing large-scale installation, testing, commissioning and technical support activities.

Preferred Skills

  • Liquid Cooling Systems: CDU / XDU and SFN.
  • Data Centre Infrastructure and COLO projects.
  • HVAC, chilled water and hydronic systems.
  • Pressure testing, hydro testing and leak detection.
  • Commissioning, IST and HOTO process.
  • BMS / controls integration and alarm troubleshooting.
  • Project coordination and stakeholder management.
  • Team leadership, training and capability building.
  • Risk, safety, quality and documentation control.
