SCHOOL OF CREATIVE ARTS

Manager (26270093)

The School of Creative Arts (SCA), comprised of three well-established academic units: the Academy of Film, the Academy of Music, and the Academy of Visual Arts. Established on July 1, 2022, SCA is dedicated to nurturing future-ready talents for Hong Kong and beyond, while making a significant impact on society through innovative research and transdisciplinary studies.

SCA is looking for a proactive and resourceful Manager to support its portfolio of education, cultural and community engagement initiatives. The successful candidate will possess strong administrative and project management skills, a solutions-oriented mindset, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level executive and administrative support to the Dean’s office of the SCA including managing schedules and meeting arrangements, preparing briefing materials, attending meetings and tours, coordinating follow-up actions with relevant teams;
  • Serve as a key relationship manager and liaison between the SCA, project teams, University offices, and external partners, facilitating effective communication, alignment of expectations, and ensuring the smooth execution of collaborative projects;
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships that enhance the profile and impact of the SCA, including identifying collaboration opportunities, initiating stakeholder engagement, coordinating meetings, and arranging campus visits and tours;
  • Support the School’s daily operations, provide secretarial services and prepare reports with internal and external units/parties; and
  • Undertaking other duties and special assignments as required.

Requirements

  • A recognised bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the education, arts and cultural sectors;
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to provide high-level support to senior management and prepare professional reports, presentations, and briefing materials;
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua;
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility; and
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, andChinese Word.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract for up to 2 years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
