An exciting opportunity is now available for a Manager - School Counselling Services to join our team.

About The Role:

The Manager - School Counselling Service oversees over 30 school counsellors providing services in schools across the Archdiocese of Canberra & Goulburn. The role will have line management responsibilities for the culture and performance of the team, ensuring that systems, policies and procedures, effective communications, training, and other supports are in place for the provision of high quality and effective service to meet organisation goals and objectives, service delivery standards and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operations of service functions including supervision of team members.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets and periodic forecast updates.
  • Coordinate all relevant accreditation activities for ACT/NSW and liaise with the Quality Management team.
  • Lead/champion client service-focused culture within the work area.
  • Assist team members to keep abreast of program changes.
  • Prepare and provide correspondence, written reports for funders, and recommendations for management team, Executive and Board.
  • Regularly report on progress against plans and priorities including identification of achievements, barriers, opportunities, and risks.
  • Assess opportunities for partnership development in the delivery of services and business case development/proposals.

About You:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Degree in Psychology, Social work, or a related discipline with a least 5 years relevant experience.
  • Experience in the management of social/community services.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to supervise, develop and manage a team.
  • A commitment to working within a child safety framework that is client centered and trauma informed.
  • A high level of initiative and strong organisational skills, with attention to detail and effectively meet deadlines.
  • Hold a current Working with Vulnerable People card (ACT), Working with Children's Check (NSW) and be willing to undergo a police check.
