About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and strategic SAP BTP Integration Engineering Manager (Integration Suite) to modernize and scale enterprise integrations across SAP and non-SAP systems. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will define integration strategy while actively designing and delivering solutions, leading and mentoring a team of developers. You will establish reusable integration patterns and architectures using SAP BTP, Integration Suite, and API Management to enable secure, scalable connectivity, drive standardization, reduce technical debt, and support event-driven architectures, while also enhancing operational excellence through defined KPIs, metrics, and dashboards.

What You Will Do

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise integration initiatives from discovery through operations, ensuring successful implementation and support.

  • Design and implement scalable integrations using SAP Integration Suite, API Management, and BTP capabilities.

  • Define and enforce integration strategies by selecting appropriate patterns (API, event-driven, batch, IDoc) based on business needs.

  • Establish and maintain reusable integration assets, templates, and standards to drive efficiency and consistency.

  • Develop and evolve enterprise integration architecture and reference patterns across SAP and non-SAP landscapes.

  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing integration development team, fostering strong engineering and Agile practices.

  • Define and govern API standards, lifecycle management, and enable event-driven integration approaches for scalability.

  • Drive operational excellence through defined KPIs, monitoring, alerting, and continuous improvement of integration reliability.

  • Ensure robust security, compliance, and risk management practices across all integration solutions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align integration strategies with business goals, improve scalability, and reduce technical debt.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP Integration Suite and SAP API Management, including modern integration patterns and governance.

  • Demonstrated experience in designing secure, scalable, and resilient integration architectures in hybrid landscapes (SAP + non-SAP).

  • Solid understanding of integration operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, error handling, and production support models.

  • Familiarity with Clean Core–aligned integration and extension approaches.

  • Experience in people leadership, managing and mentoring developers (or strong lead experience with clear ownership of team delivery).

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business needs into practical technical solutions and drive alignment across teams.

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or an equivalent field.

  • Experience in enabling event-driven architectures, including pub/sub patterns, event governance, and contract/schema evolution.

  • Experience in integrating SAP solutions (e.g., S/4HANA/ECC and SAP cloud applications) with common enterprise non-SAP platforms.

  • Background in defining integration platform operating models, including governance, standards, reusable components, and intake processes.

  • Experience in establishing reliability practices for integration platforms, such as SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, runbooks, and automated health checks.

  • Experience working in global environments with distributed teams and stakeholders.

  • Relevant SAP certifications (SAP BTP / Integration Suite) or equivalent qualifications.

What Makes You Eligible

  • Willingness to travel up to 5%, including both domestic and international travel.

  • Willingness to work from an office or home office with the flexibility to travel to sites as needed.

What We Offer

  • Flexible work environment, allowing for full-time remote work globally for positions that can be performed outside a HARMAN or customer location
