Job Description

As a Sales Support Manager you play a vital role in the overall health and advancement of the region’s objectives. You ensure there is sufficient coverage for your region to fully support the sales team on the daily requests and activities, by being part of the working team and by managing team calendars during critical times of the year (e.g. during summer, bank holidays and public holidays).

This position will report to the Sales Support Europe leader and is motivated by both independent and collaborative, analytical problem solving, demonstrating individual resourcefulness and a drive to get things done with a collaborative, 'make it happen' approach.

  • Thinking about the bigger picture of how the commercial ecosystem can function more efficiently and effectively
  • Create process guides for all major job functions shared across the Sales Support teams
  • Challenge the status quo and a passion to do whatever it takes to identify process inefficiencies and work to reduce these inefficiencies, build scalable processes and support the implementation of new systems and tools
  • Facilitating implementation of improvements using change management principles
  • Provide cross-training across the teams for them to be able to do all job functions, to align on a common approach, reduce specialization and implement generalist-abilities on the team

Your day to day will include:

  • Support the achievement of the region’s objectives
  • Participation in projects to implement improvement initiatives; identify project opportunities and generating ideas and solutions
  • Partner with commercial ecosystem on sales proposals while balancing the needs of the customer and the business.
  • Communicating with related areas to coordinate your work
  • Lead work activities of others, coordinating daily activities and providing training, coaching and guidance
  • Supports initiatives to maintain the highest degree of commercial data integrity
  • Ensure the sales team adhere to pricing policies, submit paperwork correctly and follow the correct audit guidelines

What You Will Need to Succeed:

  • Experience managing a team from a supervisor or manager role
  • The ability to navigate multiple teams to bridge cultural differences and partner with different personalities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Your skill set includes being analytical, with a high level of experience in Excel, SalesForce.com and other systems
  • Process improvement skills and the ability to advocate change
  • You’ll love to collaborate, communicate and work with a range of different stakeholders across the organization
  • It’s essential you speak fluent Business English and if you speak other languages (preferably French), this is advantageous
  • Presentation skills: ability to present and explain business requirements to all audiences
  • Influencing skills to gain commitment and support for decisions and to motivate the organization to support business changes
