Job Description

The Manager, Supplier Relations & Sales Operations is responsible for managing strategic supplier relationships and supporting commercial operations through robust reporting, workflow management, and system maintenance. This role ensures alignment between sales programs, customer onboarding, engineering communications, and inventory planning, while maintaining compliance with WESCO standards and driving continuous improvement. The position partners with suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver mutual value, optimize business processes, and support profitable growth

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business plans in collaboration with management, suppliers, WESCO executives, field sales, global account teams, and marketing.
  • Manage and generate operational and analytical reports related to sales, annual license renewals, inventory forecasting, and commercial performance.
  • Oversee and coordinate workflows such as Special Pricing Requests (SPR) and Project Registrations, ensuring timely execution and compliance.
  • Maintain and update CRM systems, including customer data, project status, price lists, and EOL (End of Life) product updates.
  • Lead sales programs including Partner Program, Specifier initiatives, and promotional campaigns, tracking targets and communicating results to suppliers and WESCO.
  • Support customer maintenance activities: onboarding, scorecard creation, vitality analysis, and ongoing customer engagement.
  • Administer system maintenance, ensuring regular updates and functional support for internal users.
  • Communicate engineering updates and technical changes to customers, acting as a liaison between technical, commercial, and client teams.
  • Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), supporting inventory forecasting, demand analysis, and alignment between sales, operations, and finance.
  • Manage Return Material Authorizations (RMAs), coordinating resolutions with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Prepare and follow up on annual license renewal reports, ensuring contract continuity and compliance with deadlines.
  • Coordinate closely with WESCO’s Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) team to align processes, programs, and operational requirements.
  • Negotiate and execute corporate preferred supplier agreements, including volume rebates, co-op funds, marketing development funds, terms and conditions, returns, minimums, service expectations, and distribution center redistribution allowances.
  • Track net spend budgets, margin, fill rates, turns and earns, and product availability.
  • Support supplier marketing initiatives, including co-op dollars and business development activities at branches.
  • Ensure execution of term agreements and collection of associated earned funding and allowances.
  • Identify opportunities to improve supply chain processes and financial performance through strategic purchasing and pre-price increase orders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ Degree required
  • 3 years required, 3 years preferred of contract negotiations.
  • 5 years required, 6 years preferred of supplier management.
  • 5 years required, 6 years preferred of staff management.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  • Establish and maintain effective working team relationships.
  • Maintain professional relationships, build trust, and demonstrate high level integrity.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Proficiency with PC and Microsoft Office software.
