Job Description

We’re looking for a motivated and commercially astute sales professional to lead Etihad’s sales activities across a portfolio of corporate and trade accounts in Mumbai.

This is a relationship-led commercial role where success comes from identifying opportunities, influencing stakeholders, negotiating mutually beneficial commercial agreements and consistently delivering revenue growth.

While airline or travel industry experience is advantageous, it is not essential. We are equally interested in outstanding sales professionals from other industries who can demonstrate commercial success, executive presence, resilience and the drive to outperform.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Develop and grow strategic relationships across an assigned portfolio of corporate and trade customers.
• Drive sustainable revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing partnerships.
• Manage the full sales cycle, from opportunity identification through to commercial negotiation and account development.
• Build trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders, becoming their preferred commercial partner.
• Deliver against ambitious sales and revenue targets through disciplined account planning and execution.
• Present Etihad’s products, services and commercial propositions with confidence and credibility.
• Identify customer needs and develop tailored commercial solutions that create value for both the customer and Etihad.
• Negotiate commercial agreements within corporate guidelines while protecting long-term profitability.
• Monitor account performance, identify risks and implement recovery plans where required.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity and customer insights to uncover new revenue opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who combines commercial acumen with the energy and determination to consistently deliver outstanding results.

You’ll bring:

• Minimum High School certification or anything above (i.e. vocational certificate / Bachelor Degree / Master degree)
• Minimum of 3 years experience in relevant field (Sales Area)
• A proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales and revenue targets.
• Strong business development and account management capability.
• The confidence and executive presence to engage and influence senior decision-makers.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive, resilient and highly motivated approach to sales.
• Strong commercial judgement with the ability to identify growth opportunities.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
• Experience within aviation, travel or hospitality is advantageous but not essential. We welcome applications from high-performing B2B sales professionals from other industries.

Recruitment Process

The recruitment process for this position will involve the following steps:

This interview will allow you to record your responses to a range of questions related to the position and will allow you to demonstrate your knowledge and experience in a way that just your CV alone would not be able to. It also ensures fairness for you and all candidates, as all of our shortlisted candidates are asked the same questions and assessed on their responses.
3. After a review of completed video interviews, shortlisted candidates will be invited to an initial technical interview with the hiring manager. This may include a brief business case presentation.
4. Finalists may be invited to a follow-up interview if required
