Catapult by CapitaLand is Singapore's premier executive education and leadership development campus. More than a venue, Catapult brings together corporates, learning providers, industry partners and business leaders through executive programmes, leadership offsites, conferences, corporate events and networking experiences. Located within Rochester Commons, Catapult provides a purpose-built environment designed to support collaboration, innovation, learning and business transformation.

We are looking for a results-driven and commercially minded sales and business development professional to drive revenue growth through the acquisition of new clients, development of strategic partnerships, and conversion of enquiries into confirmed bookings across Catapult's spaces, events and service offerings.

The Role

The Sales & Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and driving the sales process from lead generation through proposal development, negotiation and contract closure. The successful candidate will work closely with corporate clients, event organisers and partners to secure venue bookings, conferences, executive events, offsites and other engagement activities. This is a highly client-facing role suited for someone who enjoys building relationships, developing opportunities and delivering measurable commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Sales & Business Development
  • Drive revenue growth across Catapult's venue, event and service offerings.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities with corporates, government agencies, associations and enterprise partners.
  • Build and manage a pipeline through prospecting, networking, referrals and outreach.
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations and site inspections.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle from enquiry to contract closure.
  • Achieve individual sales and revenue targets.
  1. Lead Management & Conversion
  • Respond promptly to enquiries and convert opportunities into confirmed bookings.
  • Understand client requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations and commercial packages.
  • Maintain regular follow-ups to maximise conversion rates.
  • Track opportunities and client activities within CRM systems.
  • Monitor pipeline performance and sales outcomes.
  1. Account Management & Client Engagement
  • Build long-term relationships with corporate clients and key accounts.
  • Drive repeat business, cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
  • Conduct regular client engagement and networking activities.
  • Work closely with clients from enquiry through event delivery.
  • Support post-event reviews and client retention efforts.
  1. Partnerships & Market Development
  • Develop relationships with industry associations, chambers, business groups and ecosystem partners.
  • Identify partnership opportunities that generate leads and business growth.
  • Represent Catapult at industry events and networking platforms.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer needs.
  1. Sales Operations & Performance Management
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecast and revenue reports.
  • Track sales performance against targets.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Operations and Client Experience teams to ensure successful conversion and delivery.
  • Contribute to improvements in sales processes, systems and customer engagement practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, Events Management or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in business development, sales or account management roles.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Experience in MICE, hospitality, executive venues, conference centres, flexible workspace or related industries is preferred.
  • Strong sales, negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Self-motivated, commercially focused and results-oriented.
