Manager - Sales Account Management (SAM) is responsible for distribution management and oversight of key accounts. This role leads to bidding processes and price negotiations in close collaboration with wholesalers to ensure that Lilly products are included in wholesalers’ supply portfolios. And this position partners with payer customers, including hospital administrators and hospital pharmacists, as well as wholesalers within the assigned territory to manage access and distribution related issues across the entire product lifecycle. Working closely with internal PRA, Field Sales, and Marketing teams, this role identifies and resolves challenges impacting product utilization and market access, while collaborating with the sales force to maximize pull-through opportunities at the account level.

This role requires strict adherence to Lilly’s global ethics and compliance standards, as well as full compliance with applicable local regulations, including the Korea Fair Competition Act and the Pharmaceutical Affairs Law.


Job Responsibilities

Wholesaler Management

  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key wholesalers

  • Lead wholesaler contract management, bidding processes, and price negotiations

  • Develop and implement distribution strategies to ensure inclusion of Lilly products in wholesalers’ supply portfolios

  • Manage inventory, supply continuity, and O2C (Order to Cash) related issues

  • Identify and mitigate distribution and access-related risks throughout the product lifecycle

  • Collaborate with internal Sales, Market Access/PRA, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to resolve distribution challenges

  • Monitor wholesaler-related KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives

  • Ensure full compliance with Lilly’s global ethics and compliance standards, as well as local regulations including the Korea Fair Competition Act and Pharmaceutical Affairs Law

Key Account Management

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders within targeted accounts and support the customer decision‑making process.

  • Execute access plans aligned with affiliate strategy in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

  • Identify and develop internal champions to advocate for access to Lilly products.

  • Deliver payer value messages to meet customer needs and enhance value perception.

  • Drive execution plans to accelerate the listing of Lilly products within targeted accounts.


Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above required

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, account management, or a similar function

  • Proven track record of building strong customer relationships and delivering the results

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Results-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities

  • Proficiency with MS office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint

  • Proficiency in English preferred

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team player

  • Proactive attitude with strong time management and prioritization skills

  • Ability to travel frequently within Korea as required
