What you’ll Do
Americold is seeking an experienced, proactive Safety Manager to provide critical operational safety support across six Queensland sites. This is a true business partnering role — working shoulder to shoulder with operational leaders while driving safety excellence, workers' compensation management, and return-to-work outcomes.

As the QLD Safety Manager, you will coordinate, guide, and elevate safety, workers' compensation, and return‑to‑work functions across multiple high-performing operational sites. You’ll act as the trusted advisor to site leadership, embedding safe practices, leading investigations, and shaping a proactive safety culture.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, problem-solving, and partnering closely with the business to deliver practical safety outcomes.
Essential Functions
What Experience and Education You Need
Tertiary qualifications in Safety or equivalent post-secondary studies.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Safety.
Strong influencing skills with the ability to make and execute effective decisions.
Experience within manufacturing and/or logistics environments, including managing high MHE (Material Handling Equipment) traffic and associated risk controls.
Proven experience in RTW/Rehabilitation processes and safety compliance.
Strong analytical, coaching, and problem-solving capabilities.
High attention to detail with strong planning and organisational skills.
Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities.
Advanced communication skills with the ability to mentor and coach leaders.
Proficiency in Windows, Outlook, Webex, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Warehouse Management Systems.
