The Opportunity

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity to shape how risk, governance, compliance and assurance support decision-making across ElectraNet and contribute to the delivery of South Australia's critical energy infrastructure.

Reporting to the Head of HSE & Risk, you'll lead a team of subject matter experts and work across the organisation to develop fit-for-purpose frameworks, strengthen risk maturity and deliver assurance that adds genuine strategic value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, delivery and continuous improvement of enterprise risk, compliance, governance and assurance strategies, frameworks and programs.
  • Lead ElectraNet's enterprise risk management approach, including risk identification, controls, capability building and the Critical Infrastructure Risk Management Program.
  • Develop and manage the internal audit and assurance program, providing clear insight on risk, control effectiveness and areas for improvement.
  • Build an engaged, high-performing team and partner with leaders across the business to embed consistent practice, strengthen governance and support better decisions.

About You

You're an influential and commercially minded leader who can connect risk, governance and assurance with business strategy. You bring strong technical expertise, sound judgement and the ability to build trusted relationships, lead change and constructively challenge the status quo.

What you'll bring:

  • Diploma or tertiary qualifications in risk management, assurance, auditing, project management or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Extensive experience across risk, compliance, governance and assurance, including operating as a subject matter expert or technical leader in a corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated experience providing practical, value-adding guidance that supports business objectives and robust corporate governance.
  • Proven people leadership capability, with experience inspiring, coaching and developing an engaged and accountable team through change.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills across diverse internal and external groups.
  • Sound financial acumen and the ability to translate risk, compliance and assurance insights into clear business implications and priorities.
  • Experience leading internal audit or assurance programs, developing frameworks and improving organisational risk maturity.
  • The ability to act decisively, solve complex problems and combine strategic thinking with effective operational delivery.
  • Experience in a heavily regulated or critical infrastructure environment, including Security of Critical Infrastructure Act obligations, is highly regarded, as are postgraduate business or risk qualifications and electricity industry experience.
