This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of multiple locations across Manitoba, ensuring all stores consistently meet national performance and brand standards. You are accountable for staffing, recruitment, and talent development across Retail, SRR, and Clerical Operations Support. The position plays a key role in driving employee engagement, retention, and ongoing training initiatives. Regular store and terminal visits are conducted to evaluate operational excellence, including inventory management, cleanliness, equipment functionality, and brand compliance. Financial literacy is a critical component, with responsibility for managing budgets and delivering detailed monthly and quarterly reports to the Divisional Retail Manager. The role also involves monitoring and analyzing volume, revenue, and other retail KPIs, as well as conducting competitive analysis. Providing strong leadership to the retail team, this position supports employee development through coaching and training, while also participating in management meetings and supporting territory management which includes acting as a liaison and providing guidance to our national retail agent network.
The standard schedule for this role is Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm.
*Because this position supports a retail operation, the ideal candidate must be comfortable with occasional flexibility. This may include taking early‑morning calls (as early as 5:00am), responding to urgent needs after hours, supporting early morning & weekend call‑outs, or working additional hours during peak business periods.
**Additional Information: Please note, this is a permanent, full-time position and the hours of work will be dictated by the business need. Potential candidates should also be aware of the significant amount of travel required, as they will be responsible for various locations within Manitoba with occasional travel outside of province.
• Three to Five years of people management experience preferred or related Purolator experience
• Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Decisive and competent self-starter
• Excellent people leadership, interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Must be able to build and promote a well-functioning team environment
• Exemplary oral and written communication skills required
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
• Knowledge of Microsoft office: Word, Excel, Power Point and, SAP
• Financial Acumen
Additional Information
Please note, this is a permanent, full-time position and the hours of work will be dictated by the business need. Potential candidates should also be aware of the significant amount of travel required, as they will be responsible for various locations, which currently includes Northern Alberta, Red Deer, Grande Prairie, and Fort McMurray.
Language Requirement: Proficiency in English is required for this position due to the frequent communications that must be conducted in English with various stakeholders. This requirement is justified by the nature of the responsibilities and operational needs.
