Job Description

Pharmacist in-change who is responsible for the overall pharmacy operation and models SJH's purpose with all activities and communication. The role of the pharmacist is responsible for: dispensing prescriptions and specialty medications; administering appropriate immunizations; ensuring compliance with 340b program; creating a great customer experience; continuing professional relations with medical providers, insurance carriers and third-party administrators; ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies and SJH policies; and maintaining a positive, attentive and knowledgeable professional image of the pharmacy department.

Bachelor's degree (in Pharmacy)
Doctoral degree (PharmD)
Equivalent FPGE (NABP)
Minimum of fifth year college or university program with a degree in pharmacy. Completion of ACPE Accredited Immunization program preferred. Required completion of 340b program training, within 90 days of hire. Must demonstrate ability to read, write, speak, type, analyze and interpret and understand the English language. Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, understand business metrics, financial reports, and legal documents.
2-3 years of experience in retail pharmacy preferred; Previous 340B and/or specialty pharmacy experience preferred.
Hold and maintain a current, valid in-date license/registration to practice Pharmacy in the state of practice. Immunization privilege and required CPR certification preferred. Must not currently be on any federal government exclusion lists (i.e. OIG, GSA), have any active suspensions, sanctions, or other restrictions related to participation in a private, federal, or state health insurance program upon hire and thereafter.
