The Manager, Respiratory Specialists role is a key Customer Engagement employee who exemplifies and drives the VERO way for the internal RS team in their Area, and ensures we deliver consistently on the VERO way to our hospital customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership role for the Area’s RS team

  • Handles HR responsibilities for area to include performance management, recruiting, and engagement

  • Ensure RS team adherence to VERO brand identity, policies, and procedures. Provide coaching to individual RS when necessary to meet expectations

  • Leads strategic projects

  • Key training resource for Area RS team

  • Field rides/assessments

  • PQC and Advanced Technical Support follow-up education and support

  • Key Opinion Leader identification

  • Educate on the use of GENOSYL and the GENOSYL Delivery System

  • Manage Field Based Product Quality Complaint (PQC) Investigations

  • Account Management (4D Process- Discovery, Diagnose, Design, Deliver)

  • Execution of Software Updates

  • Conduct stakeholder Demos

  • Plan and execute Evaluations

  • Plan and execute On-boards

  • Customer Data Collection (usage hours, Cassette counts, etc)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Working directly with the VP, Customer Engagement, drive team processes, support team culture, and serve as an internal leader for the RS team by providing coaching and guidance for solving problems locally.

  • Serve as transport expert for Area and escalate needs as appropriate to VP, Customer Engagement

  • Actively monitor process and make recommendations for process improvements by serving as a liaison between the field, Commercial Operations, and Marketing

  • Under the guidance of the VP, Customer Engagement, the Manager, RS will lead the hiring processes, coaching, development, and critical conversations with the Area RS team.

  • Act as the SME for core RS activities, including Demos, Evaluations, Onboardings, Quarterly Business Reviews, etc.

  • Provide support for corporate projects and lead implementation through Field Training of the RS team in the Area

  • Support and educate VERO Biotech customers on the GENOSYL Delivery System.

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement clinical evaluations to ensure clinical understanding and operation of VERO Biotech products.

  • Responsible for in-servicing all VERO Biotech products.

  • Conduct on-call duties, when required, that may require the employee to work off hours when needed.

  • Develop and administer training programs for customers and VERO Biotech employees; demonstrate and participate in practical exercises as required.

  • Represent VERO Biotech at conferences, trade shows, seminars, and workshops.

  • Travel up to 80% of work time.

  • Other duties as assigned, including maintaining all certifications of vendor hospital credentials, training employees in the clinical field, supporting clinical research, and participating in case reviews.



Qualifications

  • Possess at least 5 years of experience relevant to the clinical specialty field.

  • Possess at least a bachelor’s degree in respiratory care, or a related field.

  • Must be credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).

  • Proficiency in MS Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM

  • Successfully held the role of Respiratory Specialist for a minimum of 2 years or have equivalent experience. This experience may include demonstrated success as the Clinical Lead on large patient evaluations, resulting in subsequent conversion to VERO as nitric oxide partner.

  • Consistently performed above position requirements in previous roles. Examples include leading processes and improvements in Area, member of Call Team, volunteers for projects and additional tasks, etc.

  • Exhibits strong business acumen and desire for further professional development in a leadership role.

  • High visibility with customers, representing the key tenets of VERO company culture and brand identity.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Standard office and laboratory environment.

  • Standard hospital environment.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs.), stand for long periods, and work in various healthcare environments.
