At Believe Housing Australia (part of the AnglicareSA family), our mission is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves a safe, affordable and secure place to call home.

Here, your work goes beyond bricks and mortar. You'll join a passionate crew committed to addressing one of the most pressing challenges of our time: housing insecurity.

Our work is complex and the challenges we face are significant, but the rewards are unparalleled. Every day, you’ll help us find innovative solutions that make a lasting impact. You’ll help people find not just a house, but a place they can truly call home.

Join us at Believe Housing Australia and help create brighter futures, together.

What you’ll do

As Manager, Rent Accounts, you will guide a team responsible for accurate, compliant and tenant-focused rent account services.

This is a meaningful opportunity to shape a high-quality rent accounts function that supports financial sustainability while keeping people and housing outcomes at the centre.

You will oversee the systems, processes and people that keep rent reviews, account maintenance, arrears tracking and financial reconciliations running smoothly.

You’ll also be leading a team that plays an important role in maintaining trust. Whether overseeing rent reviews, resolving discrepancies, supporting audits or responding to escalated enquiries, you will help ensure tenants receive clear information and respectful support.

You’ll be trusted to make a valuable impact by:

  • Managing rent account administration, including charges, adjustments, rebates, subsidies and tenant statements.
  • Leading scheduled rent reviews, income verification and rent assistance eligibility checks.
  • Overseeing arrears monitoring, payment plan support and tenant-centred account resolution.
  • Preparing reports on rent revenue, arrears, tenant account activity, trends and compliance performance.
  • Building a respectful, capable and values-aligned team through coaching, supervision and workforce support.
  • Improving systems, workflows and digital tools that support rent processing, arrears tracking and reporting.

What you’ll bring

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Qualifications in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field.
  • Experience in rent administration, accounts receivable, financial processing or a similar finance-related function.
  • Strong understanding of rent models, income assessments, arrears management and community housing frameworks.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including team supervision, coaching, performance support and wellbeing awareness.
  • High-level accuracy, analytical skills and confidence working with data, reports and financial systems.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly, respectfully and with sensitivity.

We would also love you to have:

  • Experience in community housing, social services or another regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act and NRSCH compliance requirements.
  • Experience developing workflows, dashboards, KPIs or process improvements using digital tools.
