Job Description

To grow, manage, and retain a portfolio of Business and Commercial Banking clients. The roleholder will be responsible for delivering exceptional client experiences, identifying business opportunities, driving portfolio profitability, and providing tailored financial solutions that support client growth while maintaining sound risk management practices for the Health Sector.

Client Relationship Management

  • Develop, manage, and deepen relationships with clients within the Health Sector portfolio.
  • Conduct regular client engagements to understand business needs and provide value-adding financial solutions.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and proactively resolve service-related issues.

Business Development and Revenue Growth

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and prospective Health client bases. Support cross-selling and up-selling of relevant banking products and solutions.
  • Drive growth in assets, liabilities, transactional banking, and non-funded income streams across clients in the Health Sector
  • Execute Health Sector and segment strategies to achieve portfolio growth and profitability targets.

Credit and Risk Management

  • Conduct financial analysis and credit assessments to support lending decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with all credit, risk, regulatory, and KYC requirements.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and proactively manage emerging risks and deteriorating exposures.
  • Structure appropriate lending solutions that meet client needs while safeguarding the bank's interests.

Portfolio Management and Service Delivery

  • Manage portfolio performance against financial, service, compliance, and risk targets.
  • Maintain high standards of account management to minimise excesses, arrears, and unauthorized overdrafts.
  • Identify and address revenue leakages within the Health Sector portfolio.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient service delivery to clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in Relationship Management, Business Banking, Commercial Banking, or Corporate Banking.
  • Proven experience managing customer relationships and engaging with stakeholders at various organizational levels.
  • Strong knowledge of banking products, financial solutions, lending structures, and credit processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and preparation of credit applications.

  • Sound understanding of credit risk, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
