About the role:
At Vantage, the Manager, Reinsurance Finance is a skilled and motivated member of the Reinsurance Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting and finance, with developing expertise in financial analysis, industry analysis, peer analysis, and capital analysis. This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in PowerPoint, and the ability to synthesize financial data into clear and insightful reports and presentations.
Base salary for the selected candidate will be commensurate with candidate experience and expectations. Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
• Support the finance business partnership with Underwriting teams by analyzing financial performance, identifying trends, assessing business opportunities, and contributing actionable insights.
• Support the annual financial planning process in collaboration with underwriting business units and Group FP&A.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis to support reporting and forecasting to key stakeholders.
• Perform industry and peer analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges within the reinsurance sector.
• Support capital analysis efforts, including evaluating capital adequacy, optimizing capital allocation, and supporting regulatory compliance requirements.
• Support the Reinsurance Finance team in coordinating with the Group FP&A team
• Prepare high-quality and visually compelling PowerPoint presentations to communicate complex financial data and insights effectively to senior management.
• Monitor market developments, competitor performance, and industry benchmarks, and contribute findings to team discussions and reporting.
• Contribute to special projects, including M&A evaluations, strategic reviews, and other corporate finance initiatives, under the direction of senior team members.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Professional Accounting Certification (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA) is required.
• Minimum 5 years’ post qualification experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry
• Strong knowledge of reinsurance and/or insurance industry practices and financial metrics.
• Proven experience in financial analysis within a corporate or consulting environment.
• Proven experience in annual planning and quarterly forecasting within a corporate or consulting environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint with an ability to create polished, professional presentations.
• Solid technical skills in Excel and financial modeling.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn and work outside normal working hours as required
• Familiarity with or interest in Bermuda’s regulatory environment and Solvency II is a plus.
