Position Purpose: Develop and execute regulatory plans for complex projects including new projects and maintenance of licenses and reaccreditation for existing and new business opportunities. Manage contracts and track performance to contractual requirements, provide consultation to other departments on requirements and escalate gaps as necessary.

In this Manager, Regulatory Affairs role, you will:

  • Develop procedures and reports to monitor contractually required deliverables, including but not limited to, regulatory reports and performance metrics
  • Review complex laws and regulations and provide guidance to other departments to ensure processes are in compliance
  • Conduct HIPAA compliance audits and provide summary of outcomes and recommendations for improvement
  • Perform gap analysis to current contract requirements and policies/procedures and offer recommendations to close gaps
  • Monitor applicable regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with company and external standards
  • Communicate with regulators as needed to seek clarification on contract requirements, regulations, processes or documents submitted for approval

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of public health policy, regulatory or legal experience, preferably in managed care or pharmacy industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Remote MI – Michigan candidates preferred. This position may include occasionally travel for meetings with Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) for regulatory engagements.
  • Experience in Duals/HIDE SNP is highly preferred as this Manger role will directly act as the liaison between the Health Plan and the Regulator (MDHHS) for the Michigan Duals program.
  • Strong written and communication skills, this role has high visibility with senior leadership and with State Regulator.

Pay Range: $87,700.00 - $157,800.00 per year

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
