We are seeking a highly analytical Commercial Planning Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping our regional commercial development. Reporting to the Senior Manager Commercial Performance and Planning, this position is responsible for building and leveraging comprehensive market intelligence, coordinating long-term planning processes, and overseeing network optimization initiatives across the region. The successful candidate will provide critical insights to inform business decisions, manage key commercial projects, and foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment with our Maison's priorities and drive sustainable growth.

HIERARCHICAL REPORT

Reports to Senior Manager, Regional Commercial Performance and Planning, North Asia

Commercial Insight & forward planning:

  • Build and maintain a comprehensive regional market intelligence database covering macroeconomic indicators, luxury market trends, tourism flows, real estate developments, competitive landscape, consumer insights, and geopolitical developments.
  • Consolidate market intelligence into meaningful analyses and executive-ready reports to support regional planning, investment discussions, and business decision-making.
  • Monitor emerging market trends, commercial risks, and growth opportunities, providing regular insights and recommendations to support the Region’s strategic planning.
  • Coordinate the collection and consolidation of market inputs for the Region’s 3-year planning process, ensuring consistency across Markets and alignment with Maison priorities.
  • Prepare strategic presentations, market overviews and ad hoc analyses for Regional Management and Headquarters.

Network Planning

  • Coordinate regional network planning activities, supporting boutique openings, relocations, renovations, extensions, closures, and network optimization initiatives.
  • Prepare boutique briefs, Network Committee documentation, investment proposals and supporting analyses for Regional Management and Headquarters.
  • Maintain the regional boutique master database and network planning tools, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely updates.
  • Coordinate Headquarters market visits through the preparation of boutique brief, market insights and commercial briefing materials.
  • Monitor network development projects, ensuring planning milestones, CAPEX approvals and documentation are effectively managed.

Special Projects Management

  • Assist in the Regional Commercial MAP process, tracking project progress, governance, and key deliverables across Markets.
  • Support the planning and execution of cross-functional strategic initiatives aligned with regional commercial priorities.
  • Prepare executive presentations, business reviews and ad hoc analyses for Regional Management and Headquarters.
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, reporting standards and project governance across the Region.

Transversal Collaboration

  • Act as a key business partner across Commercial, Marketing, Retail, Finance, Merchandising and Headquarters functions to support alignment on regional priorities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing by providing commercial insights, competitive intelligence and market analyses to support commercial activations and annual planning.
  • Foster collaboration across Regional and Market teams by facilitating information sharing, best practices and consistent planning methodologies.

Support to Hong Kong Market

  • Maintain and continuously enhance the Hong Kong competitive intelligence database, monitoring industry activities, retail developments and market trends.
  • Support the monitoring of Hong Kong network evolution, including boutique performance, openings, relocations, renovations and closures.
  • Prepare commercial analyses, network reviews and business cases to support local planning and investment decisions.
  • Partner with the Hong Kong Commercial team to support strategic initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance market performance.

KEY COMPETENCIES & QUALITIES

  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
  • Excellent presentation, business writing and storytelling skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational capabilities with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Commercial acumen with an understanding of luxury retail network planning and business performance.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across functions, markets and regional stakeholders.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented and solutions-driven.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with business intelligence or reporting tools is an advantage.
  • Experience in the luxury retail industry is a significant advantage.
  • Experience working within a regional and matrix organization is highly preferred.
