What’s the role?

Within this role you will be responsible for managing, supervising and developing a team of administrators to ensure the provision of a professional and first-class service to team clients. You will also maintain and develop relationships with clients and promote the positive image of Gen II through the professional application of services and knowledge. You will also be responsible for the administration of a portfolio of complex and key clients in line with the defined business activities.

What you’ll be doing

Managerial

• Oversight of the administration team and workflow of the team
• Oversight of incoming and outgoing mail of the team
• Oversight and authorise outgoing correspondence and documentation of the team
• Input of development/enhancement of team specific procedures
• Ensuring team adherence to internal company procedures
• Responsibility for the financial management of the team
• Monitoring and developing strategies to improve recoverability and profitability
• Ensuring fee arrangements are appropriate and remain so
• Monitoring and managing aged debts for team
• Involvement with Group projects as either a member of a committee or as team leader
• Attend managers’ meetings
• Attend recruitment interviews

Development of others

• Coaching team in relation to client activities, Gen II procedures and the local regulatory environment
• Coaching team in relation to time management, financial management and prioritisation skills

Administration

• Responsibility for a portfolio of clients (including complex and key clients)
• Undertake final review on capital activity (drawdowns, distributions etc) ahead of release
• Comprehensive knowledge of the differing requirements/ processes for high-risk clients
• Liaising with all intermediaries and external agents such as legal advisors, investment advisers, auditors and the JFSC in respect of team clients
• Review of financial statements for team clients as appropriate
• Act as a Gen II ‘B’ Authorised Signatory

Financial Management

• Ensure all clients invoiced correct frequency and correct amount
• Monitor recoverability and profitability
• Ensure fee arrangements are appropriate and remain so
• Oversight of the billing process by reviewing and submitting BCF’s (billing control forms) and analyse WIP (work in process reports) for team clients
• Monitor and manage aged debts for team

The ideal background for this role:

Qualifications & Experience

• Table 4 qualification
• Sound academic background
• 6+ years’ relevant industry experience, knowledge of Real Asset structures is preferred
• Comprehensive and detailed understanding of local finance industry, legislation and regulatory requirement in which we operate
• At least 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role
• Experience of developing and coaching others
• Building and creating sense of team spirit and loyalty

Role Location/Hybrid Schedule

This role is based our Jersey office. Although the nature of most of the roles within Gen II cannot be classed as totally flexible, there is scope in some cases for a form of Agile Working. The different ways in which Agile Working can be undertaken is dependent on the demands and needs of the business, the office space available and the individual’s preferences and circumstances.
