Specific Responsibilities Would Include:

Fabric/material sourcing and development

  • Monitor and analyze industry trends and market dynamics to support the formulation of raw material sourcing and development strategies, identifying opportunities for new materials and process applications.
  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of material properties and innovations across different products and scenarios, providing professional input for product development decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, Product Development, and Manufacturing to align material strategies with company goals and ensure project success.
  • Proactively engage with NY team to accurately understand their custom material requirements, preferences, and expectations, maintaining strong relations between NY team and suppliers.
  • Lead and drive key customer material development projects, providing end-to-end technical guidance and project management support.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with potential suppliers; establish and maintain strong and efficient supplier partnerships to ensure stable and cost-competitive material supply.

Fabric/material production and quality management

  • Oversee the entire bulk material production follow up, including fabric booking, bulk quality and color submissions and approval, quality inspections and delivery on time.
  • Regularly monitor and evaluate supplier performance, quality, and compliance, driving continuous improvement.
  • Promptly address and resolve critical issues related to material quality, and/or delivery to mitigate business risks.

Others

  • Continuously optimize material sourcing and development processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen supply chain resilience.
  • Prepare regular reports on material procurement and production activities, including key performance indicators and strategic recommendations for management decision-making.
  • Assist in supervising Centric Bangladesh materials team, providing daily guidance, coaching and support.
  • Perform other related tasks assigned by the line manager.

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have:

Ability Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Materials Science, Textile Engineering, Chemistry, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in raw material development or sourcing, with at least 3 years in team coordination or project management.
  • Familiarity with material properties, supply chain processes, and quality control standards; strong market insight and data analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
