Job Description
Responsibilities The Electrical Manager - Railways will have a broad and critical scope of responsibilities focusing on railway electrification and electrical project management, which includes but is not limited to the following: - Lead the planning, execution, and commissioning of railway electrification works including Overhead Equipment (OHE) and Power Supply Installation (PSI), ensuring compliance with relevant railway and industry standards. - Develop detailed project schedules and technical plans for electrical components of railway projects, aligning them with overall project timelines and resource availability. - Coordinate effectively with various railway stakeholders such as Indian Railways officials, contractors, suppliers, and internal project teams to ensure smooth execution and timely resolution of technical and operational issues. - Monitor and supervise all electrical activities on site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements to prevent any operational disruptions or accidents. - Manage procurement and inspection of electrical materials and equipment for railway electrification works, ensuring that all items meet the required specifications and quality benchmarks. - Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, and provide mitigation strategies related to electrical aspects of railway projects, proactively addressing potential challenges. - Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and high performance. - Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation including progress reports, technical drawings, compliance certifications, and audit reports to ensure transparency and effective communication with all stakeholders. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as civil, mechanical, and signaling departments to ensure integrated project delivery and resolve interdisciplinary technical issues. - Utilize advanced electrical engineering software and tools for design validation, fault diagnosis, and performance optimization of railway electrification systems. - Stay updated with the latest technological advancements and regulatory changes in railway electrification and power systems, incorporating best practices to enhance project outcomes. - Drive initiatives that align with Adani’s commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency, and innovative solutions within the railway electrification domain. - Ensure budgetary control and optimize resource allocation without compromising on quality or safety standards. - Champion a safety-first work culture by implementing rigorous safety audits, training, and compliance checks throughout the project lifecycle. - Engage in periodic reviews and feedback sessions with senior management to align project execution with organizational goals and strategic priorities.
QualificationB.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university or institute. Certification Required- Certification in Railway Electrification or Project Management will be an added advantage. - Safety and quality management certifications relevant to electrical engineering or construction safety. Experience10-14 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering roles within the thermal power industry, with strong exposure to railway electrification projects and related electrical infrastructure execution.
