About Role:
As a Lead Quality Control Specialist – CORE Quality Cell, you will provide strategic leadership in deploying, governing, and maturing RTX CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) quality practices across Customer Programs and Product Data business functions. You will drive enterprise-wide quality transformation, enable Built-in Quality at scale, and ensure sustainable defect prevention across value streams.
What You will Do:
- Define and lead the enterprise CORE Quality strategy and roadmap for Business functions, ensuring alignment with RTX CORE maturity expectations and organizational goals.
- Provide strategic partnership to senior functional leaders, influencing decision-making on quality, process excellence, and data governance priorities.
- Drive end-to-end quality transformation initiatives across value streams, ensuring scalability, standardization, and long-term sustainability of CORE practices.
- Establish advanced Quality Governance frameworks, including enterprise-level Quality Gates, Control Plans, and validation architectures across multiple programs.
- Champion Built-in Quality and Defect Prevention culture, proactively identifying systemic risks and deploying preventive strategies using advanced RCCA and PPS methodologies.
- Lead complex, cross-functional RCCA investigations for high-impact quality issues, ensuring robust root cause identification and institutionalization of learnings.
- Govern and continuously enhance Quality KPIs and performance management systems (FTR, COPQ, Defect Escape Rate, Rework, Audit Effectiveness), driving executive-level visibility and action.
- Lead and institutionalize Layered Process Audits (LPA) and compliance frameworks, ensuring strong adherence to Standard Work, SOPs, and SIPOC across functions.
- Facilitate executive-level Quality Review Boards (QRB), presenting insights on trends, systemic risks, and transformation progress, and influencing strategic priorities.
- Drive enterprise-wide Digital Quality transformation, including automation of QC frameworks, predictive quality analytics, and integration with advanced dashboards (Power BI).
- Sponsor and lead large-scale Kaizen programs and Value Stream transformations, delivering measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost.
- Act as a CORE Quality Champion and Thought Leader, building organizational capability through coaching, mentoring, and structured training programs.
- Guide and support CORE certification and maturity progression, ensuring successful achievement of CORE milestones and audit readiness across teams.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence, influencing behaviours at all organisational levels.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical / Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 8-12 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control / Process Excellence, preferably within aviation, aerospace, or engineering services.
- Demonstrated experience in leading enterprise-level quality or continuous improvement initiatives with measurable business impact.
- Proven experience in applying Lean, Six Sigma, and CORE tools (VSM, 5S, PPS, 5-Why, Fishbone).
- Experience managing quality metrics and dashboards, with the ability to interpret trends and drive data-driven decisions.
- Experience in performing quality audits, process compliance checks, and data validation across complex workflows.
- Working knowledge of data governance, data quality frameworks, and structured technical documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and working knowledge of Power BI for visualization and reporting.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with experience working in global cross-functional environments.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Certification in Lean / Six Sigma (Green Belt / Black Belt) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification or equivalent certification.
- Experience in Aerospace Quality Standards such as AS9100, FAA/EASA regulatory frameworks, or OEM quality processes.

UK Shift (12:30 PM to 9:30 PM IST)
