Quality Management

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with company and customer requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, including SQF, HACCP, and GMP, or other industry-specific quality systems.
  • Lead internal and external audits and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Manage customer complaints, non-conformance investigations, internal defects, and quality improvement activities.
  • Responsible for monitoring process data, validating check frequency per the corporate requirements, and reporting concerns to supervision.
  • Operate several web-based databases for quality data and supplier performance.
  • Establish and monitor quality metrics, KPIs, and reporting systems.
  • Oversee product and process quality assurance activities.
  • Ensure effective control of documentation, specifications, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Lead supplier quality improvement efforts and collaborate with procurement on supplier performance issues.
  • Maintain quality equipment through calibration and external repair.
  • Review all process control records, spoilage collections, and entry of all defective material related data.

Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and execute strategic continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and waste reduction activities.
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Champion problem-solving methodologies such as:
    • Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
    • 8D
    • PDCA
    • DMAIC
  • Monitor project effectiveness and sustain gains through standardization and control plans.
  • Drive productivity, efficiency, cost reduction, and operational excellence programs.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop quality and continuous improvement personnel.
  • Train employees in quality tools, Lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, customer focus, and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, engineering, supply chain, and customer service teams.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze quality and operational performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and KPI scorecards.
  • Utilize statistical analysis tools to support process improvements.
  • Present findings and recommendations to plant and senior leadership
