Job Description

Product quality review associated with the manufacturing process. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • The Manager – Quality is responsible for driving end-to-end quality performance across manufacturing operations by deploying quality strategy, ensuring adherence to QMS standards, and delivering key KPIs such as FPY, COPQ, defect reduction, and customer satisfaction.
  • Strengthening process quality through effective implementation of control plans, SPC, and stage-wise inspections, while improving process capability for critical-to-quality parameters.
  • Leads and drives structured problem-solving (RCA, CAPA, 8D) to eliminate defects and prevent recurrence, ensures timely closure of NCRs and customer complaints, and acts as the primary interface for customer quality concerns and audits.
  • Overseeing and strengthening NDT processes (UT, visual, and other applicable methods), ensuring compliance, capability, and effectiveness of inspections.
  • Drives cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) to enhance quality performance, reduce variation, and improve efficiency, while ensuring audit readiness, compliance, and team capability development through training and resource planning.

Required Qualifications

  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires basic experience in the Manufacturing & Production Quality Control. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with at least 10+ years of experience( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong technical expertise in quality tools such as SPC, MSA, FMEA, and statistical analysis, combined with a solid understanding of manufacturing and NDT processes.
  • Data-driven and structured problem-solving mindset, with proven ability to lead root cause analysis and deliver sustainable improvements through projects.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills are essential to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, along with high ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Should be proactive, result-oriented, and resilient under pressure, with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A continuous learning mindset, along with exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, and digital quality systems, is highly desirable.
