Job Description

The Manager is a part of QFS & Governance Japan team, directly reporting to Director QFS & Governance Japan

WhatYou’llDo for Us

  • Ensure Japan Coca-Cola productionand market quality& food safetyto meet Japan marketexpectations.

  • Provide thoroughleadershipandactionespecially low acid sensitive products.

  • Act as a primary roletoQFS operation through E2E governancefrom production to market

  • Implement andmonitorThe Coca-Cola Quality System governance framework (KORE) and ensure products, packages, ingredients, services, fountainoperationsand production facilitiescomply withthe requirements of KORE and local regulations

  • Drive Q&FS systems and programs while ensuring best-in-class leadership through partnership,governanceand innovation across the supply chains.

  • Implement all global QFSmethodology, standards and requirements for product, package and processes,distributionand marketplace

  • Manage and execute the development of OU Quality, Food Safety improvement activities throughout the value chain to protect people,products,packageand trademark integrity, and improve QFS performance. Manage knowledge and best practices sharing across plants.

  • SupportOHSinitiatives, GovernanceactivitiesandQSE culture transformation to ensure QSE culture excellence is a core value embedded in everything we do across the system.

  • Innovation: support for all technical operational QFS aspects that protectand enhance ourcompanyreputation. Ensure efficient and effective QFS reporting systems are in place to ensure bottlers have access toappropriate qualifiedinformation.

  • Organize and managebottler&co-packer management in OU to prevent business disruption. Conduct quality andfoodsafety assessment, authorization process for plants and production lines. Conduct facility design, line approval, production authorizationand change managementprocess Provide technical support and guidance, and follow up corrective action plans, ensure full implementation and compliance of KORE QSF requirements

  • Direct involvement andimplementationof the keyQFS-relatedprojects with Bottling Partners together withTechnical Operation Managers.

  • Drive and support business initiatives (e.g., water efficiency) by delivering innovations and/or kaizen with proactive behavior beyond QSE organization.

  • Part ofglobalexpert network role in Quality & Food safety.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 5+ years working experience infoodbeverage industry

  • At leasthave some working experienceregardingquality & food safety tasks within practical business affairs.

  • Experience and/orexpertiseinmicrobiology testingoperation

  • Working experience in the field of Quality Assurance & Control or equivalent

  • University/bachelor’s degreein science, Technology or Engineering.

  • Knowledge of FoodQA/QC(Microbiology, Pest control, Food law and Regulations, Agricultural Chemical, etc.

  • Knowledge of ISO9001, GFSI(FSSC22000), basic QAmethodologyandskillsfor problem solving based on facts.

Skillsand behaviors

  • Mastery of (Must)

    • Quality, food safety, ingredientsafetytechnical governance, risks, qualityparametersand quality specifications.Very goodunderstanding of GMP and overall manufacturing conditions for thevariousproduct categories.
    • Franchise leadership, stakeholder management,partnershipand collaboration.
    • Excellent technical knowledge and experience in bottling operations, beverage productiontechnologyand supplier processes. Management system knowledge and auditing process knowledge
    • Ability to understand risks, troubleshooting, root causeanalysisand create mitigation plans.
    • Knowledge of microbiology, allergen management, food safety in the industry
  • Program Management: Ability to provide oversight and management to synthesize/bringsynergyto multiple initiatives byestablishingcourses of action for self and others to ensure efficiently, adjusting priorities,establishingmanagement routines to effectively track progress andidentifyissues.

  • Ability to work in an ambiguous and dynamic environment.

  • Systemsholistic thinking:Ability to connect the dots anddetermineareas of integration.

  • Good interpersonalskilland cross Functional Relationships: Knowledge and ability to articulate to senior management the benefits supporting cross-functionalobjectivesto achieve the business plan.

  • Native level of local language. Business level of English is plus.Need tolisten, writeand read basic technical documents in English.

  • Allow to havemanytravelling.
