Job Description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Lead Component development activities for proprietary parts (Truck, Bus, Off road vehicle) including Exhaust system, Brake System, Air-intake system – Air filters, Fuel System – fuel filters, Ad blue system (DEF system), Cooling System – Engine Fan, Lift Axle Actuation System, Suspension System– Axle dampers and cabin dampers, Hydraulic systems & HVAC & Transmission, Engine Peripheral components, Bus FAPS/FDSS
  • Work with design and vehicle integration team to ensure technical feasibility and Compliance with regulations and Internal standards.
  • Hands-on experience in end-to-end vehicle/commodity development lifecycle
    • Concept → Design → Prototyping → Testing → SOP (Start of Production)
  • Co-Ordination with suppliers for technical signoff, Commercial synthesis & Development
  • Supplier capacity mapping, able to dig our RCA and resolve with in the available time frame

2. Material Management & Supply Chain

  • Own the sourcing strategy for all listed proprietary components.
  • Ensure timely availability of parts for development and production phases.
  • Monitor Supply capacity, lead times and material flow to avoid bottlenecks.
  • Drive cost reduction through value engineering, localization and alternate sourcing.

3. Supplier Management

  • Identify and onboard capable suppliers with focus on quality, reliability and innovation.
  • Ensure material availability to meet production requirements –MM Function
  • Supplier Performance improvements- QCD Targets
  • Build long-term supplier relationships.
