About the Role
The principle purpose of the role is to planning, executing and delivering projects ensuring they meet business objectives regulatory requirements and governance standards. This role focuses to lead end-to-end technology delivery using Agile and hybrid methodologies. Accountable for delivery across multiple Agile teams while acting as a hands-on Scrum Master. Ensure alignment to Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) governance, SDLC, risk and regulatory standards while driving predictable, outcome-based delivery. Partner with Product Leads, Technology teams, and stakeholders to deliver digital, data, automation and AI-driven initiatives with measurable business outcomes.
The Project Manager will work closely with stakeholders across functions and AIA entities to ensure seamless execution and alignment with organizational goals. This includes ensuring timely execution, risk mitigation and stakeholder alignment for strategic initiatives. Additionally, the role involves managing and mentoring project teams, fostering collaboration and enhancing team capabilities through coaching and best practices by ensuring adherence to governance frameworks, enforcing project controls and providing clear reporting
Defines the detailed plan and its interdependencies, including planning for and locating project resources.
Lead project delivery of technology initiatives (systems, platforms, automation, AI, data).
Act as Scrum Master for assigned teams (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews, Retrospectives) as well as hybrid project management methodology.
Facilitating Scrum events, team cadences, coaching team members, and supporting day‑to‑day delivery challenges.
Manage scope, timelines, budget, risks, and dependencies aligned to project management governance.
Drive removal of impediments and manage cross-team dependencies.
Partner with Product Owners for backlog prioritisation and value delivery.
Manage stakeholders across business, technology and vendors.
Ensure compliance with SDLC, risk, security and regulatory requirements
Shape and embed standard Agile delivery practices across teams while allowing situational flexibility and continuous improvement.
Handle escalations and issue resolution between business stakeholders, outsourcing partners/business partners and steering committee members.
Manages communications between projects and with stakeholders.
Track project deliverables using appropriate tools and to provide direction and support to project teams.
Follow up on issues raised and help drive removal of impediments; escalate system blockers where needed.
Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
Provide guidance and assistance to peers should situation require.
Improve event effectiveness across multiple teams by standardising lightweight working agreements.
Coach Product Owners to operate effectively in complex, regulated environments, balancing value, risk and compliance.
Lead, train, and coach the organisation in Scrum adoption and help stakeholders understand an empirical approach for complex work.
Act as a senior escalation point for delivery risks that cannot be resolved at team level.
Provide data‑informed insights on delivery health (e.g., predictability, bottlenecks, risk hotspots) to steer leadership decisions.
Job Requirements:
Hands-on experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects from initiation to completion, ensuring scope, budget and timelines are met.
At least 8-10 years in Agile delivery roles and project management, including multi‑team or enterprise environments
Strong understanding of project lifecycle management and risk management.
Ability to create and manage project plans, budgets and schedules.
Proficiency in Project Management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
Extensive experience in Agile methodologies and DevSecOps practices.
BFSI (Banking, Financial Services and Insurance) industry experience preferred, with knowledge of core journeys: underwriting, claims, policy servicing, and contact center processes.
Stakeholder management – ability to coordinate between internal teams, external vendors and senior leadership.
Excellent diplomacy skills with a strong ability to persuade and influence stakeholders relationships.
Strong communication and reporting skills for project status updates, risk management/escalations and governance meetings.
Experience using project management tools (Microsoft project, Jira, Trello, etc).
Proven ability in applying relationship management and to be able to build good relationships at senior management level as well as project working group.
Committed and able to work under pressure to meet assignment deadline.
Self-motivated, good team player, persistent and able to work independently.
AGILE / Scrum Master certificate is desired.
Good communication skills in English both written and oral.
