About the role:

This role serves as a key leader within the Data & Analytics organization, partnering with business leaders, product owners, data scientists, engineers, analysts, and operational stakeholders to ensure successful execution of a portfolio of complex initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing delivery strategies, driving operational excellence, developing project management capabilities, and ensuring alignment between organizational priorities and execution plans.

As a people leader, this role is accountable for the performance, development, and engagement of project management staff while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and delivery excellence. The Manager, Project Management will own the end-to-end project delivery function for a defined portfolio and serve as a key resource in resolving complex operational, technical, and organizational challenges that extend beyond individual projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of project managers supporting Data & Analytics initiatives
  • Establish strategic priorities, operating objectives, and organizational goals for the project management function
  • Own and continuously improve end-to-end project delivery processes, governance frameworks, standards, and methodologies
  • Partner with business, analytics, product, and technology leaders to define delivery strategies that support organizational priorities and business objectives
  • Oversee a portfolio of complex data, analytics, reporting, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and technology initiatives
  • Ensure consistent execution of project management best practices, governance processes, risk management approaches, and delivery standards across all projects
  • Drive alignment between business priorities, delivery capacity, and organizational objectives through effective resource planning and portfolio management
  • Establish operational metrics and performance measures to evaluate project delivery effectiveness and organizational outcomes
  • Identify and resolve complex technical, operational, delivery, and organizational challenges affecting multiple teams or programs
  • Review project execution, deliverables, and governance practices, providing guidance and recommendations to improve delivery quality and effectiveness
  • Develop scalable operating models and delivery frameworks that support growth and evolving business needs
  • Facilitate executive-level communications, steering committee reviews, and strategic decision-making forums
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex project, stakeholder, and delivery issues
  • Drive continuous improvement through adoption of new delivery practices, governance approaches, and operational efficiencies
  • Promote Agile, Lean, and product-oriented delivery methodologies across the organization
  • Partner with leaders across Data Science, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Product, and Operations teams to ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives
  • Build organizational project management capabilities through coaching, knowledge sharing, and implementation of best practices

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
  • Proven significant experience leading project management teams, PMOs, delivery functions, or strategic transformation initiatives
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, including performance management, coaching, mentoring, and talent development
  • Proven experience leading portfolios of data, analytics, business intelligence, reporting, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or technology-focused initiatives
  • Proven ability to develop and implement governance frameworks, delivery models, and operating procedures
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams within highly matrixed environments
  • Demonstrated solid analytical, organizational, and strategic-thinking capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across business and technical organizations
  • Proven experience with workforce planning, resource forecasting, and organizational prioritization
  • Demonstrated solid communication, presentation, and executive stakeholder management skills
  • Proven experience utilizing Agile delivery methodologies and project management practices
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of execution and delivery quality

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP, PgMP, Agile, SAFe, Scrum, or equivalent project management certification
  • Proven experience leading enterprise Data & Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Data Platform programs
  • Proven experience establishing or leading PMOs, delivery organizations, or transformation offices
  • Proven experience supporting data science, data engineering, business intelligence, or cloud modernization initiatives
  • Proven experience within healthcare environments, including healthcare operations, analytics, or value-based care programs
  • Proven experience driving organizational change, process transformation, and adoption initiatives
  • Proven experience working within highly regulated enterprise environments
