Manager, Project Development - Design – Focus on This position is responsible for leading ideation, developing innovative concepts, and ensuring that creative strategies are aligned with operational feasibility and organizational objectives. The manager acts as the link between design innovation and project execution, fostering collaboration across teams to deliver impactful, user-centered, and sustainable solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Management across the brands and concept Initiatives

Development & Feasibility support:

• Collaborate with Feasibility on facilities outline – market feasibility, future vision for location and brand identity

• Ensure the project aligns with budgetary constraints and long-term profitability

• Coordinate design development across multiple projects to maintain consistency and quality

• Lead concept ideation sessions to generate innovative project ideas aligned with organizational goals

• Implements processes, manages deliverables, and ensures compliance with standards

• Provides input on project feasibility, design quality, and operational adjustments

• Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans

Product guidelines & standards updates:

Frequency and effectiveness of cross-team meetings (Design, Operations and feasibility):

• Host KOM, ensure all voices are heard and aligned

• Create design project vision deck

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, operations, feasibility) to ensure concepts are practical and executable

Concept and Creative development:

• Overall product brief and key parameters in collaboration with

• Future guestroom & suite concepts

• Food & Beverage concepts

• Wellness & Recreation concepts

• Retail concepts & partnerships

Design Process in collaboration with Design team:

• Concept & Schematic Design

• Brainstorm, sketch initial ideas and explore creative directions

• Evaluate concepts against brand identity and strategic goals

• Design Development, Implementation Planning and Execution

• Styling & Accessories

• Graphics

• Translate designs into project plans, coordinate with other teams

Pre-opening support when required:

• OSE direction for guestrooms, suites, tabletops

• Ensure Operational Teams understand and can execute the design intent

• Wardrobe concept

• Graphics, signage, and Collateral

• Conduct final design reviews and quality assurance checks

• Final set-up of all areas before opening

Operating Facilities:

• Renovations – collaborate with DPS, operations to create narrative & facilities outlines

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Degree in of Diploma in Design and Hospitality / with 5 years plus of project/design management experience

Strong portfolio demonstrating concept development and design execution

Proficiency in design software (, Adobe Creative Suite, Power point, Canva,) and project management tools.
