Production

From sourcing raw materials to manufacturing, order placement, pricing and quality control and getting the finished product where it needs to be, our production team is responsible for ensuring we keep our standards high and our business profitable at every step of the journey. Specific Responsibilities Would Include

The ideal candidate for the Poduction Manager role will have a deep understanding of the production processes, with experience in product development and costing. You should possess strong communication and follow-up skills, you should have have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strategy & Innovation

  • Partner with cross functional, corporate resources to achieve global production efficiencies across divisions and groups.
  • Perform competitive research; continuously evaluate marketplace to identify and review applicability of key trends in manufacturing, fabrications and construction; identify significant innovations and share with partners in Merchandising and Design on regular basis; oversee maintenance of archive of materials, hardware, etc. for production.

Operations and Results

  • Conduct comprehensive cost analysis and perform negotiation with factories to ensure accurate pricing and optimized profitability.
  • Ensure tracking of production from first samples to final deliveries; resolve non-compliance/claims chargebacks with vendors; coordinate customs classification coordination with Imports.
  • Partner with Merchandising, Design and Sales to develop product, ensure correct execution of products and attain agreed-upon margin goals, in context of larger assortment and cost structure; set and articulate expectations and ensure timely delivery according to development calendar.
  • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of production costing including the Analysis of production costs, lead negotiations, sourcing and consolidating vendors.
  • Partner with senior management to develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and increase efficiency across the production operation.

Customers & Relationships

  • Partner with customers, Sales, Merchandising and Operations, as well as vendors and factories to ensure milestones on PDT are met.
  • Relationship management: Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure that production operations are supported and optimized.
  • Perform special projects as assigned.
  • Travel to factories and international trade shows, where appropriate.

Leadership & Teams

  • Decision making: must be able to make quick and effective decisions, often under pressure. They must be able to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize production processes.
  • Attract, develop and retain talent.
  • Problem solving: must possess strong problem-solving skills to identify and address operational challenges. This involves developing and implementing solutions to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Team building: must be able to build and lead high-performing teams. This involves, providing mentorship, coaching, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

  • 5+ years experience in production and sourcing; significant relevant experience in costing.
  • Handbag experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; team oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; highly detail oriented and meticulous.
  • Creativity, technical capability and sensibility for merchandising/design.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP a plus

Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000

Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
