Job Description

What you’ll do:

The Production Manager is responsible to handle Production in aligning the resources to achieve Hi5 Metrics of the Plant. The primary focus is to achieve monthly STD (Production) hrs target in meeting the OTD. He will be accountable for WIP materials and ensure production order adherence to the set target. He will be focussing on the safety culture to implement "Zero Incident Safety Culture", the quality culture to implement "Zero Defects & I own quality" standards, the CI culture to drive process improvements by maintaining 5S+ standards. He will be collaborating with HR, Planning, MFE, Quality, Stores to ensure smooth running of production lines. He will be responsible in maintaining a good relationship with Unionised workforce. He will be focussing on manning strategy to meet Month's Production demand.

1. Responsible for delivering Hi5 metrics of Production.
2. Manage resources to achieve specific performance indicators on productivity, costs, OTD, quality, health and safety, EHS objectives, employee engagement.
3. Monitor Production order adherence and focus to achieve standard hours.
4. Focussing on manning strategy to meet the Month's Production demand
5. Responsible to review the competency mapping and develop training plan.
6. Establish a mentorship and skill development framework to support continuous workforce growth and efficiency
7.Organize all production operations to ensure that output productivity and quality targets are achieved and that all relevant health, safety and hygiene standards are observed.
8. Ensure complaince of production process to SOP's, PFMEA and quality plan.
9. Ensure full compliance with EHS and MESH standards, promoting a safe and sustainable work enviroment
Direct and control all operations staff to ensure they are properly motivated, trained and developed, and carry out their responsibilities to the required standards.
10. Develop and implement short- and long-term plans to ensure that the plant has the necessary resources to meet targets/objectives.
11. Drive safety culture to implement ""Zero Incident Safety Culture"",
12. Drive quality culture to implement ""Zero Defects & I own quality"" standards and maintain scrap generation to the target limits.
13. Drive CI culture to drive process improvements by maintaining 5S+ standards, solving problems through SGA, Kaizen & RIE
14. Develop effective working relationships with all employees to ensure the maintenance of harmonious employee relations within the factory.

Qualifications:

•BE / ME degree in Electrical/ Electronics Engg / Mechanical Engg
12+ years of experience in Production, handling high mix high volume production lines, with 40+ team strength

Skills:

  • Detailed knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures and methodologies.
  • Knowledge on manufacturing strategy for high mix high volume production environment
  • Drive Hi5 metrics with customer centric focus.
  • Drive safety, CI and quality culture among the workforce
  • Ensure adhere to norms and workon productivity improvements
  • Able to handle unionised workforce and experience in wage settlement in his current assignment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High degree of professional presence
  • Very adept at influencing to achieve results through others when required
  • Team player
  • Ability to get things done through teams effectively
  • Ability to forge strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
