Job Description
The Production manager is a member of the Production Department in MOBIS South Carolina Electrified Powertrain(MSCe) and is responsible for managing overall day-to-day Production operation and ensuring strict adherence safety and quality standard Maximizing overall equipment effectiveness and leading a high-performing team of supervisors and technician.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES(To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
- Plan short and long-term objectives for the Battery Module & Battery System for BEV Production department
- Provide capacity and labor planning for all manufacturing departments in the Module Division
- Coordinate continuous improvement teams to achieve division goals in productivity improvements, quality improvements, and safety goals
- Coordinate corrective action planning to ensure effective root cause analysis and proper implementation of improvement methods
- Teach continuous improvement philosophy through training on a monthly basis
- Provide conflict resolution for and coach Team Members
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental goals
- Ensure departmental compliance to all company policies, procedures, and safety rules
- Oversee and provide counseling on appropriate progressive discipline per company policies
- Initiate reporting systems to monitor department performance
- Minimize overtime of all assigned Team Members
- Plan and conduct continuous improvement training of supervisory personnel
- Maintain personnel headcount according to business plan
- Conduct annual evaluations (MBO) of supervisory personnel
- Comply with and promote safety in the workplace, to include attendance at safety meetings as well as conduct safety meetings when necessary
- Own and execute the production floor Control Plan to monitor critical-to-quality parameters; actively lead and review PFMEA to proactively identify and mitigate process failure modes.
- Act as the primary production-floor interface for major automotive OEMs and customer auditors; maintain a continuous "Audit-Ready" state across the shop floor and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 objectives
- Ability to review equipment drawings and production line layouts

Qualifications
Qualifications (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)
Required Education & Experience:
- 4-yr College degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience with 5 years in the automotive field.
- Automotive parts assembly experience preferred with 0-2 years’ experience in the assembly of modular component and or battery component systems. Must have working knowledge of manufacturing processes and knowledge of Quality Assurance Techniques with emphasis on Manufacturing Processes Problem
- Solving and Automotive Quality Requirements.

- Knowledge of IATF 16949:2016, International Standard for Quality Management and VDA 6.3
- Korean Language in written and oral form is a plus but not mandatory for day-to-day duties.
