Job Description

About Hopscotch Primary Care

At Hopscotch Primary Care, we believe great healthcare should be accessible to all people across all communities. Today, almost 20% of Americans live in a rural community, yet only 11% of physicians practice in those same communities. We are on a mission to transform healthcare in rural America. We provide high-quality primary care tailored to meet the needs of our patients through our robust care model and comprehensive care team, delivering care in our clinics, and across settings, and wrapping resources around the patients who need them most.

Our patients and the care teams who serve them sit at the center of everything we do at Hopscotch. Hopscotch Primary Care takes a team approach to serve patient needs and provide the best care possible. Our goal is to provide the care each of us would want for ourselves or for our family members, in the right setting, and at the right time.

Today, we are serving thousands of patients in our value-based care model and the number is growing every day. If you want to bring your experience, skill and passion to make a lasting impact in healthcare, we’d like to meet you.

About the Role

Hopscotch Primary Care is looking for a strategic and execution-oriented Manager of Product Management. The ideal candidate will develop a deep understanding of our unique role in the healthcare ecosystem, our product vision and the value we deliver to our customers and users. They are an owner-minded product leader who thrives in ambiguity, develops deep context across the healthcare ecosystem, and translates diverse perspectives into a clear product roadmap linked to outcomes. They will work cross-functionally to build thoughtful, data-informed solutions that improve care delivery at scale. If you’re excited by the opportunity to shape the future of healthcare in rural and small town communities and enjoy solving difficult problems in a fast-moving startup environment, we’d love to hear from you.

What will you do?

  • Own product roadmap and outcomes You will be accountable for measurable impact on clinical quality, patient experience, and business performance.

  • Track and interpret key trends in value-based care, healthcare policy, and market dynamics to inform product prioritization and solutions.

  • Own stakeholder and user research, utilizing qualitative and quantitative insights to inform product decisions, pilots and product iterations.

  • Define and own success metrics (product, operational, and pilot KPIs) in partnership with analytics and stakeholders, using data to guide decisions post-launch.

  • Make and communicate tradeoff decisions, balancing user needs, business value, effort and scalability.

  • Partner closely with engineering to explore solutions, collaborate in agile meetings, write technical specs and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

  • Communicate complex concepts effectively, both written and verbally, to audiences ranging from care team staff to executive leadership.

  • Coach product managers, setting standards for strong product craft, execution, and ownership across the team.

We are looking for someone that is:

  • Innately curious, inquisitive and outcome-driven with a passion for challenging the status quo and uncovering pragmatic, creative solutions in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Ownership-minded and comfortable operating in ambiguity; able to take full end-to-end accountability for complex problems and drive initiatives from discovery through delivery and iteration.
  • Strategic and business-oriented with the ability to articulate customer needs, scope solutions and clearly communicate value, tradeoffs and timing.
  • Data-informed and decisive; confident making hard prioritization and tradeoff decisions using a mix of qualitative insights, quantitative data, KPIs and expected business impact.
  • Customer-centric and empathetic with strong product discipline around user research, workflow understanding and incorporating feedback into thoughtful, iterative solutions.
  • Technically fluent enough to translate business and clinical needs into viable solutions, partnering closely with engineering to evaluate feasibility, cost-benefit, and build vs. buy decisions.
  • Experienced leading cross-functional initiatives; able to structure work, manage dependencies and maintain momentum amid frequent context switching.
  • A clear and compelling communicator; able to articulate the value of shipped work and upcoming roadmap items to audiences ranging from technical peers to executive leadership.
  • Self-aware and resilient, able to recognize missteps, learn from execution failures and re-engage with confidence and a bias toward action.
  • Mission-driven with a genuine interest in U.S. healthcare; motivated to navigate complexity and improve how care is delivered and paid for

From a cultural perspective, you are:

  • Accountable You hold a high standard and you expect it from others too.
  • Someone who treats mistakes as data. You move fast, name what isn't working, fix it, and carry the lesson forward.
  • Customer-obsessed. You build genuine empathy with users, dig into what they actually need, and stay focused on solving real problems.
  • A problem-solver, not a finger-pointer. You own challenges alongside your teammates - no blame, no deflection, just shared accountability for finding the way forward.
  • A contributor who shapes the answer. You bring your strengths and perspective to every conversation because rigorous debate is how the strongest solutions get built.
  • Comfortable with uncertainty. The plan will change and the priorities will shift - you make smart calls with what you have and course-correct with good judgement when things evolve.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare technology, strategy or policy is a strong plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Willingness to travel as business needs require (10% of the time)
