Advises the team on Agile values, practices, and processes to ensure the team is fully functional, productive, and focused on sprint goals. Encourages Agile behaviors, reinforces practices, norms, ceremonies, and supports the overall team performance and efficiency. Analyzes JIRA/Kanban boards. Identifies team improvement opportunities and looks externally for best practices to support continuous improvement. Leads and coordinates logistics for Agile ceremonies and practice -- backlog maintenance, sprint planning, daily scrum, and retrospectives. Ensures all work is tracked in the backlog and accurately balanced across team members. Maintains and updates the team’s process metrics and artifacts to ensure accurate and clear communications to partners.
Primary Responsibilities
Plans and coordinates schedules and resolves dependencies with scrum masters, internal and
external teams, and providers.
Collaborates with technology and business partners to analyze product objectives, timelines, requirements, and the value they bring to internal and external customers.
Establishes relationships across business and technical partners and articulates business and technical information to diverse audiences.
Assists the development team with analyzing system design requirements.
Plans and defines team goals and objectives and tracks team performance.
Analyzes information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new systems or modifies an existing system.
Confers with data processing or project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities for data processing projects.
Consults with customers and other departments on project status, proposals, or technical issues -- software system design or maintenance.
Analyzes user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Manager, Product Management (or closely related occupation) performing business and systems analysis for Web-based applications in an asset management environment.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of experience as a Manager, Product Management (or closely related occupation) performing business and systems analysis for Web-based applications in an asset management environment.
Skills and Knowledge
Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) planning and coordinating project schedules -- backlog tracking and sprint management (using Jira, Jira Align, Domo, and Mural), and manual process automation, improvement, and reporting -- for project team members using Agile methodologies; translating strategic objectives into actionable insights, using Visio, SharePoint, and Confluence; and breaking sophisticated product features into clear concise stories with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria using Jira.
DE writing objectives and KPI to track progress using Domo -- for Retirement (401K), Planning and Life Events business and technology projects; and developing, deploying, and supporting Web applications using AngularJS.
DE defining strategic, high quality roadmaps for the betterment of business management technology products through data driven business analysis, using AWS and Angular Developer; and writing requirements, solving production issues, performing gap analysis, and conducting UAT testing, using Postman, Fitness, and Sonar.
DE designing Web-based interactive applications according to Agile/SCRUM methodologies within an onshore/offshore development team; performing daily stand-ups, scrum of scrums, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and demo/retrospective meetings with program stakeholders using JIRA; and building product guides, using Confluence and MURAL.
