Job Description

Be a Part of Something BIG!

Manage the development, launch and ongoing support of Singtel’s SIM and eSIM products and supporting platforms.

The role supports Consumer, Prepaid, Enterprise, Wholesale and digital-brand product teams with their eSIM product offerings. It requires close work with IT, Networks, Operations, Procurement, Legal, external technology suppliers and device manufacturers.

The person must understand business needs, convert them into clear technical and process requirements, and coordinate the work needed to launch and support the service. The role includes both project delivery and ongoing operational responsibilities.

How you will make an Impact:

1. Plan and define SIM and eSIM product changes

  • Work with product teams to understand their business needs and proposed customer journeys.
  • Explain what SIM and eSIM technology can and cannot support.
  • Define business rules, technical requirements, user stories and operating processes.
  • Recommend practical delivery options based on cost, system capability, security and launch timelines.
  • Identify when an interim process is needed before full system automation is available.

This includes services such as consumer eSIM, prepaid eSIM, enterprise eSIM, MVNO services, travel eSIM, wearables and managed-device provisioning.

2. Coordinate product development and launches

  • Coordinate delivery across product, IT, Networks, UX, testing, operations and external suppliers.
  • Prepare or review test plans, test cases and launch-readiness requirements.
  • Arrange test data and production-ready eSIM profiles for UAT and business-readiness testing.
  • Track technical dependencies and resolve issues that may delay launch.
  • Confirm that operational teams, sales teams and customer-care teams are ready before launch.
  • Support production rollout and early-life issue resolution.

3. Manage eSIM profile development and testing

  • Write the technical specifications for new eSIM profiles.
  • Work with eSIM suppliers to develop and configure the profiles.
  • Test profiles across relevant phones, wearables and other connected devices.
  • Check compatibility with 4G, 5G, in-app installation and other provisioning methods.
  • Manage profile changes when product, device or platform requirements change.
  • Prepare qualification reports and obtain sign-off from internal teams or external partners.

4. Manage eSIM platforms and system integrations

  • Work with eSIM platform suppliers on platform setup, testing, commissioning and production support.
  • Coordinate integrations between the eSIM platform and Singtel provisioning, customer-service and partner systems.
  • Define API and data requirements with the relevant IT and vendor teams.
  • Limit unnecessary changes to existing systems where possible.
  • Support the operation of more than one eSIM supplier and ensure that profiles from different suppliers can be identified and managed correctly.
  • Improve system visibility so that support teams can check eSIM status and investigate problems more effectively.

5. Manage technology suppliers and contracts

  • Support or lead technical and commercial evaluations of eSIM platform and SIM suppliers.
  • Prepare tender requirements and supplier-assessment criteria.
  • Review supplier proposals, technical solutions, pricing and service commitments.
  • Work with Procurement, Legal, cybersecurity and Risk Management during supplier selection and contract approval.
  • Support contract renewals and pricing negotiations.
  • Track supplier performance and raise issues when delivery or service quality does not meet expectations.

6. Support eSIM procurement and supply planning

  • Help business teams estimate how many eSIM profiles they need.
  • Guide teams on purchase orders, ordering processes and supplier lead times.
  • Monitor stock for services that require a ready supply of profiles.
  • Keep sufficient stock for normal demand and urgent requests.
  • Avoid unnecessary excess stock and reduce the risk of service disruption.
  • Track profile costs and identify opportunities to reduce procurement costs.

Administrative teams may place the actual orders, but the Product Manager provides technical guidance and helps coordinate demand across the different business units.

7. Work with device manufacturers and external partners

  • Work with device manufacturers, mobile platform providers, MVNOs and wholesale partners on product requirements and launch plans.
  • Understand partner standards, certification requirements and technical timelines.
  • Coordinate device and service testing with partners such as Apple, Google and other device suppliers.
  • Help partners understand Singtel’s eSIM processes, technical limitations and available provisioning methods.
  • Identify lower-cost or simpler implementation methods where these meet the product and security requirements.

8. Provide operational and technical support

  • Act as an escalation point for complex eSIM installation, provisioning and device-compatibility issues.
  • Work with IT, Networks, operations teams and suppliers to identify the cause of problems.
  • Use platform records, system status and logs to support investigations.
  • Provide clear instructions to frontline and operational teams.
  • Identify repeated problems and recommend changes to systems, controls or customer-recovery processes.
  • Support Numbershare, Family Setup and other services that depend on eSIM provisioning.

9. Train and support internal teams and partners

  • Explain eSIM architecture and processes in language suitable for non-technical teams.
  • Train product managers, IT teams, operational support teams, sales staff, customer-care staff and external partners.
  • Prepare process guides, testing reports, troubleshooting instructions and launch-readiness material.
  • Share common requirements and lessons learned so that later launches can use a consistent approach.

Skills for Success:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline with 3- 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Strong structured thinking, with the ability to break down ambiguous problems into clear steps, requirements and practical solutions.

  • Good communication skills, with the ability to align stakeholders, ask the right questions and communicate requirements clearly in writing.

  • Strong attention to detail and an ownership mindset, with the ability to follow through on actions and close issues effectively.

  • Strong interest in exploring and learning new technologies.

  • Project experience in mobile products and networks.

  • Familiarity with project and design tools such as Jira, Confluence and Figma.

  • Basic understanding of APIs and system concepts, including inputs and outputs, system dependencies and error handling.
