Title and Summary

Manager, Product Delivery - PMO

Product Delivery (PD) function is part of Customer Delivery that is responsible for determining and assessing product delivery readiness in conjunction with Product and Engineering team. PD leads the implementation of new and complex products/platforms and standardizes the process for future implementations that can scale. PD also acts as the knowledge expert on Mastercard Products and services during implementation projects and appropriately support internal and external customers.

The Manager – Product Delivery PMO is responsible for leading and managing the PD Project Management Office (PMO). It includes all aspects of managing the PMO team to support bespoke, strategic and complex project and program rollouts across Mastercard products, services and businesses in the Asia Pacific region. This includes programs that cut across multiple markets, end-to-end business functions and GTM rollouts. The role is a unique combination of technical, business and team management skills that provides exposure on product strategy, supporting business launches, team management and hands-on program execution.

Role
• Experienced program management lead who has had exposure in Mastercard product rollouts and service delivery management
• Essential elements include - Program Initiation & Scoping, Governance and Reporting, Program Control and Delivery, Planning and Financial Management, Resource Management, Strong Stakeholder Management, Effective Relationship management - internal & external, Risk Management
• Strong exposure to traditional and emerging payments and products landscape, business constructs and platforms, preferably in Mastercard business models and industry practices. These may include but not limited to BNPL, Acceptance, Real-time payments, Commercial payments, Digital, Loyalty and Services
• Experience with Prepaid Management Services, Loyalty Solutions, Instalments and Digital business lines is a plus, while significant experience within Financial Services, in a Program Management or an equivalent senior role, is a must
• Required to guide with scoping, planning, leading, directing and controlling the delivery of diverse cross functional projects both for external and internal clients in the above sectors
• Good exposure to Asia pacific regional market practices, regulatory and compliance guidelines
• Managing end to end delivery of a large scale projects
• Executing, shaping and leadership of major change initiatives which implement business strategies
• Ensure delivery to agreed plans within quality, timescale and cost objectives to realise identified benefits within the business case
• Implementing and monitoring business processes and standards of the PMO team to ensure scalable, repeatable and sustainable outcomes are seen consistently across projects delivered
• Collaborates cross-functionally to execute service models and support programs as defined by customer types and business models
• Manage a team of experienced project and program managers, guiding and supporting them, helping grow their careers and lead with example. Leads, coaches and ensures the team to further develop skill level in program management
• Ability to mentor colleagues on navigating internally and business culture, and shares insights on product, customer and industry knowledge necessary for expedient and quality output

All About You
• PMP / PgmP / Prince 2 or equivalent
• Demonstrable experience of operating comfortably with ambiguity and developing strategies to gain clarity
• Strong customer focus with the ability to translate customer needs (internal and external) in accurate requirements whilst maintaining a cost-effective solution for all parties
• Excellent presentation skills both written and oral and able to communicate across a diverse audience from technical resource through to Executives
• Strong Financial services and IT experience ideally within a regulatory environment
• Proven experience of planning and delivering projects both within a structured methodology and in an adaptive methodology across the full project lifecycle
• Strong leadership skills with drive and enthusiasm to motivate and challenge
• Proven Risk Management & Program Governance experience with financial/commercial acumen
• Proven Analysis and technology awareness
• Proven experience of end to end management of multiple Change Program / Projects
• Extensive experience managing relationships with senior stakeholders up to Executive level across multiple business units
• Proven experience delivering major changes to a core system / implementation of new systems, technology and processes
• Strong communication and influencing skills – able to manage difficult/technical conversations with a broad range of global and regional partners, securing ‘buy in’ for recommendations.
• Strong analytical skills - ability to identify process/efficiency enhancements and to optimize resource allocation across competing demands within the region
• Foresight – ability to identify issues before they develop into problems and to proactively resolve issues directly or through escalation to appropriate partners/stakeholders
• Ability to maintain a self-motivated, consistently high level of focus and enthusiasm on a daily basis across the team
• Ability to work as a leader of a matrix based diverse and geographically distributed project team
