Job Description

As a Manager - Product Data, you will be responsible for implementing the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of new product introduction and product onboarding processes across assigned product categories. You will be accountable for ensuring efficient, scalable onboarding of products, enabling high-quality product data, and supporting strong sales performance, margin expansion, and a best-in-class digital product discovery experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Owns and drives the end-to-end new product introduction (NPI) and onboarding intake process for assigned product categories, ensuring clear prioritization, requirements definition, and timely progression of new products into onboarding workflows
  • Leads product onboarding initiation activities, including intake, identification of required product information, and alignment on data needs to support validation and enrichment by downstream teams
  • Partners cross-functionally (Category Management, Supplier Management, Master Data Management,
  • Pricing, Inventory, and Digital teams) to ensure all required inputs, dependencies, and handoffs are clearly defined and executed
  • Ensures adherence to established product data standards and onboarding workflows, driving consistency, quality, and compliance across all new product introductions
  • Identifies gaps in onboarding inputs and requirements early in the process, proactively collaborating with stakeholders and suppliers to resolve issues that could delay product activation
  • Monitors onboarding pipeline progress and intake quality, helping to remove bottlenecks and improve speed-to-market for new products
  • Aligns new product introduction priorities with overall assortment strategy, ensuring new products support category growth, customer demand, and financial objectives
  • Partners Digital teams to support launch readiness, ensuring newly onboarded products are positioned for activation and visibility
  • Communicates priorities, progress, and onboarding status across stakeholders, driving alignment, accountability, and execution against business objectives
  • May oversee one or more product assortment or onboarding professionals
  • Forms business relationships with key stakeholders, including Wesco’s suppliers and partner teams

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree - Marketing, Sales, IT or related field required; Masters Degree preferred
  • 5 years of experience in product onboarding, new product introduction (NPI), product data management, or product assortment roles
  • 5 years managing end-to-end product lifecycle processes, including intake, onboarding, and launch execution
  • Strong understanding of NPI processes, onboarding workflows, and product data requirements within a complex distribution or multi-channel environment
  • Proven ability to prioritize intake, define requirements, and drive execution across multiple product categories
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional execution with Category Management, Supplier Management, MDM, Pricing, Inventory, Supply Chain, and Digital teams
  • Ability to define and manage processes, dependencies, and handoffs to ensure timely and accurate product activation
  • Experience with product data governance, standards, and quality controls to ensure consistency and compliance
  • Strong ability to identify gaps, resolve issues proactively, and mitigate onboarding delays
  • Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills with a track record of driving alignment and accountability across stakeholders
  • Analytical and results-oriented mindset with experience improving pipeline performance, speed-to-market, and business outcomes through data-driven decisions
  • Ability to travel 0% - 25%

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.


For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
