As the Manager, Procurement Excellence, you will play a critical role in partnering with the Supply Management leadership team to shape and advance the group’s strategic plan. Your goal will be to drive improvements and accountability across the Procurement team with a focus on 3rd party risk management, procurement analytics, initiative management, reporting, and technology. Your success will be demonstrated through the delivery of high‑quality analytics and insights that strengthen and enable the Category Management process.

Your Responsibilities:
Lead the development of the long‑term Supply Management strategic plan, aligning governance, risk, and compliance principles with enterprise priorities
Design and implement a best‑in‑class claims management framework that enhances transparency, control, and risk mitigation
Build and oversee a business analytics team that delivers insights to strengthen Category Management and strategic decision‑making
Collaborate with Category Specialists to execute vendor audits, ensuring contract adherence, risk identification, and performance assurance
Maintain a comprehensive and current template and documentation library, supporting standardization and compliance
Develop the annual Supply Management budget, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, risk considerations, and operational priorities
Prepare business cases to support resource and investment requests, grounded in risk evaluation and value creation
Lead the coordination and response to internal audits, ensuring timely completion of action plans and continuous improvement of controls
Deliver key internal governance and performance reports, enabling visibility and accountability to stakeholders
Conduct process and policy compliance reviews, identify gaps, assess operational and contractual risk, and recommend control enhancements and process improvements
Your Skills:
Demonstrated ability to lead with vision, accountability, and minimal supervision

Proven capability to manage complex priorities, deadlines, and competing demands
Strong organizational instincts with the ability to drive structure, clarity, and execution discipline
Expertise in analyzing complex issues, synthesizing data, and shaping actionable recommendations that influence stakeholders
Creative problem‑solving skills with sound judgment and innovative thinking applied to governance, negotiation, and risk scenarios
Adaptability and experience in leading change management initiatives
Deep understanding of strategic sourcing, procurement, contract management, and project delivery principles
Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior leadership
Relationship‑builder with the ability to influence without formal authority
Proficiency in Microsoft tools such as Excel, Power BI, Access, OneNote, Teams, Outlook, and SQL
Your Experience:
Graduation from a post-secondary institution in a relevant discipline or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience relevant to this position
10+ years contracting, procurement, and/or project management experience
5-10 years people management experience
SCMP or equivalent designation is an asset
