A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Strategic Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for leading the sourcing and procurement of capital goods, indirect materials, and services across Siemens Energy's manufacturing facilities in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad). You will play a pivotal role in ensuring cost-effective, compliant, and timely procurement solutions that support operational continuity and business growth.

In this role, you will manage supplier relationships, negotiate strategic contracts, drive digitalization initiatives, and implement sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, and service levels. Working closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, EHS, Quality, and Legal teams, you will contribute to procurement excellence while strengthening supplier partnerships and fostering sustainable value creation.

We are looking for a results-oriented procurement professional with strong commercial acumen, expertise in indirect sourcing, and a proven track record of driving procurement efficiency within manufacturing environments.


How You'll Make an Impact

• Lead the procurement of capital goods required across the AIS, GIS, and BIC manufacturing facilities in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.

• Drive efficient sourcing and procurement of indirect materials, equipment, utilities, and services to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, delivery, and supplier performance objectives.

• Negotiate commercial agreements, frame contracts, and rate contracts to maximize value and mitigate procurement risks.

• Manage end-to-end supplier lifecycle activities including supplier identification, market scanning, evaluation, qualification, onboarding, and performance management.

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers while ensuring compliance with Siemens Energy procurement standards and governance processes.

• Ensure adherence to Risk for Business (R4B), legal compliance requirements, EHS standards, and sustainability expectations across the supplier and contractor base.

• Support digital procurement transformation initiatives through automation, analytics, and process optimization.

• Drive cost optimization initiatives through supplier negotiations, e-auctions, alternate source development, value engineering, and design-to-cost approaches.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance, Logistics, Quality, and Legal teams to deliver procurement objectives.

• Monitor market trends, commodity movements, and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities and proactively manage risks.

• Support business continuity through supplier development, risk mitigation planning, and strengthening supply chain resilience.

• Leverage procurement data and analytics to provide actionable insights, improve decision-making, and enhance procurement performance.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve procurement efficiency, service quality, supplier performance, and cost competitiveness.

• Foster strong stakeholder engagement and ensure timely resolution of procurement-related issues impacting business operations.


What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• 8-12 years of relevant experience in Strategic Procurement, Sourcing, or Supply Chain Management within manufacturing industries.

• Proven experience in procurement of capital goods, indirect materials, maintenance services, and facility-related services.

• Strong supplier relationship management capabilities with experience handling both direct and indirect procurement categories.

• Excellent understanding of the Indian supplier market and sourcing landscape.

• Working knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes, strategic sourcing methodologies, contract management, and procurement best practices.

• Hands-on experience with procurement negotiation techniques, e-auctions, supplier development, and cost reduction programs.

• Ability to analyze procurement data and translate insights into actionable sourcing and business improvement initiatives.

• Strong commercial acumen with expertise in cost optimization, contract negotiations, and value creation.

• Experience driving procurement digitalization and process improvement initiatives is highly desirable.

• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple business functions.

• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.

• Experience in the High Voltage (HV) Energy sector is preferred; candidates from Automotive, Manufacturing, Power, or Industrial sectors will also be considered.
