Job Description

The Print Services Manager leads Orgill’s internal print shop, a full-service production operation within the Marketing & Communications (MarCom) department and located at the Orgill Innovation Center. This role oversees all aspects of print production, finishing, kitting, mailing, and related logistics to support Orgill’s marketing programs, corporate initiatives, and the needs of other internal departments. The Print Services Manager ensures that all printed materials and production services meet Orgill’s quality, brand, and service standards while maintaining efficient, reliable, and cost-effective operations.

This position provides strategic and operational leadership for the Print Services team, managing staff, equipment, processes, vendor relationships, and budget performance. The Print Services Manager is responsible for workflow planning, resource allocation, and continuous improvement across the print operation. This includes evaluating production capacity, ensuring equipment readiness, coordinating outsourced print jobs, and applying industry best practices to enhance speed, quality, and output. The role plays a critical part in supporting Orgill’s marketing initiatives, large-scale events, distribution centers, and other internal partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee daily operations of Orgill’s Print Services department, ensuring efficient, high-quality production across print, finishing, kitting, and mailing.
  • Manage and mentor a team of 5-8 employees, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance management, and workflow oversight.
  • Maintain and optimize all print shop processes to support Orgill’s marketing programs, promotional kits, events, catalogs, and internal departmental needs.
  • Manage and monitor all Print Services equipment, including preventive maintenance, repair coordination, service contracts, and asset lifecycle planning.
  • Oversee the procurement of print supplies, paper, materials, and consumables; manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate outsourced print work as needed to supplement internal capabilities while maintaining quality and brand alignment.
  • Develop and manage the Print Services budget, including forecasting, expenditures, billing, chargebacks, and internal cost allocations.
  • Review, approve, and process all Print Services invoices, including shipping and logistics billing.
  • Plan and oversee the production and fulfillment of seasonal and annual marketing kits and other kitting programs.
  • Support internal partners across Orgill—including Distribution Centers, Event Services, Retail Services, the Sales Team, Human Resources and others—ensuring clear communication, accurate production, and timely delivery of materials.
  • Coordinate shipping logistics, including vendor freight, mail handling, and delivery planning for large-scale programs and events.
  • Ensure all production meets Orgill brand standards, quality expectations, and delivery timelines.
  • Track and report on production metrics, throughput, quality, and cost performance.
  • Apply industry trends, technology updates, and best practices to improve capabilities and production efficiency.

Required Position Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial print operations, production management, or a closely related field.
  • Proven experience overseeing a print shop or production team, including staff leadership and workflow management.
  • Technical knowledge of print production processes, digital printing, bindery, kitting, mailing, and related equipment.
  • Experience managing vendors, service providers, and outsourced print jobs.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen, including budgeting, billing, and cost management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Position Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an internal print operation or in a similar corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with marketing production workflows, catalog production, or large-scale kitting programs.
  • Experience supporting logistics, distribution centers, or event-related production needs.
  • Background in implementing new equipment, technology, or production processes.
