Job Description

The Manager, Practice Program Services - Youth Justice plays a pivotal role in enhancing educational and training initiatives within the youth justice sector. This position is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of practice programs that support young individuals in the justice system, ensuring they receive the necessary guidance and resources to facilitate their rehabilitation and reintegration into society. The role is crucial for fostering a supportive environment that promotes positive outcomes for youth in Cannon Hill, Queensland.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement practice programs tailored to the needs of youth in the justice system.
  • Collaborate with educational institutions, community organisations, and government agencies to enhance service delivery.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs, making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
  • Lead a team of professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and organisational policies.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting program achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops for staff and volunteers involved in youth justice programs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the education or youth justice sectors.
  • Strong understanding of youth justice issues and the challenges faced by young individuals in the system.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective training programs.
